Is it a bit early or are they starting many places in the US this early?

They have been giving them for awhile now.  I think anytime around back to school time is good.  I know DR Laura got hers.  Has anyone else?  This year it will protect against three different flu viruses, including H1N1.

Zip Line vibes for DR JOHNG

Did not get to go on the zip line. A friend I was with fell of a platform at the beginning and banged herself up really badly. She then passed out forcing us to tend to her needs rather than zip lining. Her husband escorted her in the ambulance while we followed. She's been released and all seems to be well. A rather different adventure from the one we set out on, but the outcome is all that is important here.

Well, this seems to be the year for me to be randomly chosen: first the nosy census, and now the gas company just knocked on the door to inform me that our gas line is going to be partially dug up and checked. I expect the jury summons any day now.

My new neighbor wants to build a garage in a place where there really isn't room for a garage.  He'll probably have to get a variance to do it. Tonight I was looking out and if he does it my view will be totally cut off, which in my opinion will effect my property value. I'm going to find out if he's applied for the permit and variance yet and what I have to do to object.  One other neighbor is planning to object to a variance. I think i will too.  He says it will be tasteful, but he's got the place looking pretty junky with the way he parks cars willy nilly in the grass etc.  

Oh no.  So many times a person applies and gets approval for something moderate & tasteful & and then builds whatever.

I came home for lunch today and he was standing outside, so I told him I'd been thinking about it and if he built the garage where he told me he was going to that it would ruin my view and that my view added value to my property so he would be reducing the value of my property. So, if he needed a variance to do it, I would object to the granting of a variance.   He went on about how creative they would be and it wouldn't interfere with my view.  I told him it would have to be underground before it wouldn't ruin my view.  He said he'd show me the plans if and when he gets to that point.    He's had both neighbors tell him they will object now.  He said it isn't part of this project.  I'm glad I spoke my mind

Thanks Laura.  It was a day of speaking up.   As I drove to work I saw a sign advertising immigration and legal services.  As I investigated who it is, I think it's someone who isn't a lawyer and isn't certified to provide immigration advice.  So, I called ICE and asked if they investigate this sort of thing.  They said yes.  So I told them if they are legit I'm cool with it, but I'm concerned that it's not legit and will rip people off.  It's only about 7 blocks from the immigration enforcement office so they said they'd go right down and check it out.

THE DEFENDERS will be interesting.  I know one of the lawyers it's sort of modeled after.  He represented Ms Hilton on her lastest wrist slapping

I spent over an hour with the mobil me people and he finally traced these ongoing problems to the way it was set up originally - not by me, of course.  We redid everything from scratch and finally everything seems to be working all right now.  Then I packed, ate a sandwich and onion rings (I was hungry!), then had to go to Gelson's to get she of the Evil Eye a bunch of supplies, then to the mail place where I picked up four count them four packages and now I'm back home waiting for girl three to pick up her music and CD.  Girl four hasn't even responded to yesterday's Facebook message and I don't even have her real e-mail or phone.  So, unless she gets to me tonight, I'm replacing her when I get back - I do not need people who are flaky.
