ANTICIPATION
« on: October 05, 2010, 12:05:44 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had anticipation, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they may just arrive in time as we head into our tenth year.

Good morning, all! I actually got around 7.5 hours of sleep last night, although around 5:15 am I had another round of pacing from the floor above me. I'm starting to wonder if it's not the Oaf but a ghost. About five minutes ago the weirdest thing happened in my apartment. A sliding door on one of my closets suddenly and loudly made a noise as if someone had lifted it at an angle and then let it hit the floor hard. I looked at it and it was still vibrating and I have no idea what caused the activity but it was most bizarre. I may have to call "Ghost Hunters" in.

So, today I've got scheduled two comedy duets, Daniel Marcus & Ron Raines and Daniel Marcus & George Dvorsky, along with a few solos by George and an afternoon session with mezzo-soprano Rosalie Sullivan, who's singing a couple of numbers from Herbert's first operetta, PRINCE ANANIAS, and some lieder.

The ladies ensemble was really excellent yesterday. We had two opera students from Manhattan School of Music, courtesy of my beloved Dona D Vaughn, with Elizabeth Inghram from WHERE's CHARLEY? at Goodspeed and Laura Daniel, the Singing Nun from THE TRAGIC AND HORRIBLE LIFE AND DEATH OF THE SINGING NUN. They were the chorus to Sara Jean's "Tell Me, Daisy," and the whole shebang came off wonderfully. I'm hoping today and tomorrow go as well. Thanks for the vibes and please keep them coming!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Excellent Vibes & Xylophones for Travel & Weather for BK's singer today! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning, DR TCB! I'm happy to see you back. Someone's got to keep DR MBarnum in line and I can't do it alone. I was itching to comment about his cold shower post on Facebook (has he mentioned it here?) but he handles criticism so poorly.
I meant to ask you, as well, if you were able to retrieve all your files from the old computer?
Morning, all!
Ten years?! Ho-lee Mo-lee!
The problem with TV westerns of the Golden Age is that they only had 3-6 days to shoot them, which is why they had so many close-ups and limited action.
A western should be "big" and "open".  Because of the short shooting schedules, these often well written and acted westerns could not be.
Tuesday morning greetings!  Grantwriters' meetings today in Dayton and I'm countin' down to the end of my term on the board in December.  Speakers are all lined up through January and today we'll start talking about candidates to fill my seat and the others that are being vacated.
Travel vibes for BK's singer and all on the road or in the air today. OK, and by sea, too, if need be. But only if need be.
For me, the best of the TV westerns were not the series so much as the mini-series. While I watched "Gunsmoke" and "High Chaparral" as a kid, I really don't remember them the way I do "Lonesome Dove" and "The Good Ole Boys."
