Ricky is doing better. His arm is healing but I can see he still has a few places that aren't well yet. He gets another treatment tomorrow. It's working, so I don't have any qualms about putting him through it again.

Today Ricky discovered using me as a place to sleep. Every time I've gone in there and kicked back on the bed he runs to me and curls up on my stomach or chest. It's been great to have this time to bond with him.

My meeting went quite well. I don't think we'll have a production this year but we may get a workshop in the near future.

We just finished our dinner. We had some Green Market pumpkin loaf for dessert. It was very good.

I'm seeing Pitmen Painters on Wednesday. My friend from BBC Tees, the host of Songs from the Shows knows two cast members and she told me to stop by the stage door after the show and send her greetings. I shall write a nice note introducing myself and give it to the box office people to deliver to them before the show so they will know that I'm stopping by.

Last night was quite a blustery storm, but the calm before the storm was delightful...sun and clouds with a hint of humidty, and rather windy...my favorite weather to walk around in...so I got my camera out and took a nice stroll around my new neighborhood to snap shots of the fall leaves....

....here for you enjoyment are fall colors which are all within a 5 or 6 block radius of my apartment building.

This is a few blocks down the street from me. These trees stand in front of a portion of St. Joseph's Catholic church used for their school. You can see the bell tower of the Presbyterian Church, a little futher down.

This is on Marion St going towards the bridge to west Salem. These trees are in front of some office building, an attorney's office, I think.

Today has been a day of doing nothing but laundry and watching TV. I watched the last two episodes of both "How I Met Your Mother" and "The Big Bang Theory." I started to watch a bit of "$#*! My Dad Said" and "Outsourced" but I just wasn't interested in either, so I deleted them.

Another shot a little further west on Marion. Note the old boarding house in the background, still used as a boarding house, in fact. Most of the residents are recently out of jail, I think.

In front of the old McKinley grade school, one of the only schools of it's era that has not been torn down. It is directly in back of my apartments, but over one block.

Another shot near on my block, with the neighboring apartments to the left. Some of the trees in this shot are in the parking lot across the street from my building. On Saturday's it is used for the Saturday Market, which was going on when I took these photos.

You wouldn't think there would be so many beautiful trees downtown, would you.

One block south of me, and then a block west on Marion is the Congregational church with these trees in front.

It is quite a pretty church, I have always thought. Wherein most of the other vintage churches in my area are built with red brick, this one is built with off white colored bricks/stones. I wonder why that is?

two blocks down from me on Winter St is the Lutheran church (yes, this athiest is surrounded by churches on all sides!). Another pretty church, and pretty trees, also.

About 2 blocks east of me is this very cool looking office building. Very nice trees in front of it.
I see this building when I look out my front windows.
