Finished watching the new Blu and Ray of White Christmas, about which I will have much to say in the notes.

I am having dinner later with a friend, but since I was hungry, I had some bacon and eggs at one-thirty.  I'll eat lightly tonight, and may do a jog in about thirty minutes.

Back from storage and getting all the Christmas charts for December's show - had them all, so that's great.  Whilst there, I found this photograph of Michelle and I from 1997.

I love this picture!

I've been at work and not really doing much of anything...certainly not getting things done the way that I thought that I would, but since I didn't need to make up much time, I'm not worried about what I didn't do. ;)

I'm now off to my parents' house for a quick visit, then off to the theater!

Have a good rest of the evening, all. :)

Back from our first walkthrough of our now rental property, which I haven't even driven by in 6 months.  Looks surprisingly good, they're really keeping it up which of course makes us happy.  They have agreed they will pay rent until we find a new tenant, so we're covered.

Good, only a shame they are moving.  Vibes you find equally good renters.  When is their moving date?

Can't decide if I want to go see Catfish or Conviction or stay home and watch The Girl Who Kicked a Hornet's Nest.   Decisions

Stay home with the kitties ;)

I should have kept reading.  Cilla could be right about the floors, good luck with that.

Jennifer one of the reasons I don't mind waiting to watch the movies is it gives me more distance between the movie version and the books.

Possible spoiler!

I'm not surprised about the deal with Monica considering the first movie.
Poor Erika, she was finally interesting-lol.

I still remember watching WINDS OF WAR which sooo many people liked.  I yelled through half of it complaining what they had done with half the characters and the poor casting.

Off to the theatre for the opening of SB.  Family and DP will be in attendance.  Still saddened by the loss of Michele Nicastro, will conduct "As If We Never Said Goodbye" in her memory this evening.  I know she never recorded it, but it would have been very suited for her.

more later...

Deleted a post, it was too silly and didn't want it to follow a memory of Michelle Nicastro.

Mr BK after you use those charts, do you put them back where you found them?

We had our realtor over today to just look through and he thinks the master, which is currently carpeted, actually has hardwoods underneath.  We were going to buy new carpets, but if there are hardwoods, we'll just have those refinished.  Probably around the same cost I would think.

Carpeted floors - you get to run around in your bare feet all day long, feeling quite comfy

Hardwood floors - cold, slippery, and you  have to wear slippers or socks all the time.

I went to the theater tonight and told the ticket seller I was still deciding between CATFISH and CONVICTION.  She told me 13 people had bought tickets for CONVICTION and no one....that's right NO ONE had bought tickets for CATFISH.   SO, I went to CATFISH.  I was literally the only person in the theater, which was pretty cool actually.   I really liked the movie.  Can't say much because I don't want to spoil it, but I liked it - it pulled me in and I didn't know where it was going.   I tend to believe it's real, but if it isn't, that's ok too

Jane, I sat around with the cats and did almost nothing all day.  I really needed to get out for awhile.  I'm home, Rick is laying on my chest and shoulder, Boo is in her chair and Callie is on her mat.  All is right in kittyland

Maybe I should have left my empty popcorn bag and cup so the cleaning people had something to pick up.

I'm glad I got to stop by The Quad last night to meet up with DRs edisaurus, vixmom, Julie, Ben and his ever-lovin' Ant, as well as Mamasaurus and Naz.  Alas, since "Intermezzo" did not get out until 11:00pm - almost on the dot too! - I was not able to make it back down to the Good Stuff Diner for Round One or Two of the post-"J&B" get-together. But at least there's Facebook. ;)

Actually, we were still there! Tal and Kasia, two filmmakers formerly of Atlanta, went to the 8:20 show and then came back to the diner with us. They are both actors: Tal also works on the show DAMAGES, and Kasia speializes in playing monsters and aliens, as in the latest Star Trek movie.

Good Evening!

The Bernstein concert was quite good as expected.  The first half consisted of the "Classical" Bernstein, while the second half consisted of the "Musical Theatre" Bernstein.  Alas, I think a little bit of "mixing" would have been a good thing, since most of the first half consisted of some "heavy" material, and was basically "ballad" heavy.  But still some wonderful music-making and singing.

The highlight of the second half for me was Cheyenne Jackson singing "Lucky To Be Me".  I swear, just when I don't think he could sound any better - or look any better - he just manages to surprise me again!  One of the other highlights was "We Are Women" from the London version of Candide performed by Vicki Clark and Kelli O'Hara.  Oh, and the double finale of "Some Other Time" with Cheyenne Jackson, Christine Ebersole, Michael Cerveris and Donna Murphy, followed by the full company singing "Make Our Garden Grow" from Candide - which, as always, made me cry.
