You mean the Oaf isn't from Toronto?
I never said that!

I didn't understand the Vixmom reference.

Go back to your original post; you misspelled Toronto!

I didn't notice a red squiggly line under it, and without the line I couldn't see that I misspelled it. ;)

Oh...

And I reminded myself once again just how amazingly effective a simple salt-water gargle can be when one is dealing with a sore throat.

Kind of like a teaspoon of baking soda in water for an upset stomach

Yesterday I finally watched my Netflix Blu Ray selection, CRASH, which has been sitting for about 6 weeks.  While there are apparently many films with this title, this one features Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Sandra Bullock and many more.  To say that this is a dark film is the ultimate understatement.  What a "downer!"  I don't know why I selected it in the first place.  I don't know why I even finished watching it in the second place.

It apparently won a few Oscars.  I suppose that it's intent was to deliver a message, but when I watch a film, I want to be entertained and not be the recipient of a "sermon."

The lesson learned is that maybe I should consider changing my Netflix plan to network streaming, which my new Sony Blu Ray player will do.  The downside is that it will decrease the number of selections available, but the upside is that I can immediately watch another.  My option now is to slip the disk into its envelope, mail it back to Netflix and wait for my next selection to be sent - usually a two day deal.  Oh yeah - and speak out about COMCAST trying to screw with Netflix streaming via COMCAST internet services!  >:(

Hated that movie. Hated it, hated it.

I hated it too

JMK, there are people who like Lost Horizon, The Musical as a film - not many - but it definitely has its fans - it's when someone is obsessive about such a film that I find it weird.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not oblivious to its obvious faults, I just like it in spite of them.  ;)
I feel the same way about "At Long Last Love." I know it's bad, but I enjoy it anyway.

There was the Island of Misbehaved Boys in Pinocchio.  Where do they send bad little girls?

There's still a lot of banging and crashing going on above me. When the fat hell is this Oaf going to abandon the premises forever?

Could it be your landlord doing some final cleaning up and checking to see how much of The Oaf's security deposit to give back?

I don't know. He was still here yesterday afternoon!

Big Relief! It was the super and his son getting ready to paint the apartment. He's gone! William Ayers is out of the building!

You had a weatherman living upstairs?   ;)

Craig & I were talking about some of his young classmates which included a few very spoiled boys in little league.  Had Craig ever behaved as they did, which he never would have, he would have been pulled from the game.

OK...

So...

Apparently there's this Norwegian television program called, "Gylne Tider" ("Golden Times"). From what I can gather, they feature TV and Pop Music stars and near-stars from years past.

Here's a PROMO.

And here's a version of "Let It Be".

And "We Are The World". *There are a bunch of "Dynasty" alumni in this one.

It's kind of like a very trippy trip down Pop Culture memory lane.

I could never bring up the Promo, but I loved the other two videos.  An interesting collection of pop celebrities, and others who have already watched their 15 minutes of fame pass them by.

A must watched video of a penguin in Japan who walks into town everyday.

Did anyone watch this?  I emailed it to Craig who emailed me back, "that's pretty awesome."  If I can get praise from him I'm sure a few of you would enjoy this. ;)

Found an oddity in the clearance cookbook section tonight: "The Musical Theatre Cookbook." There are recipes for every show from "Of Thee I Sing" to "City of Angels," with  some meat pies from "Sweeney" thrown in. I may never make anything from it, but it was only $2.

The Nalley's Chili parent company announced today that they are closing their Tacoma plant in the Nalley Valley and moving to Fort Madison, Iowa.  They have been a major industy in Tacoma for almost a hundred years.
