IN THE WORDS OF SALLY DURANT PLUMMER...
« on: December 26, 2010, 12:26:04 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were occasionally in the words of Sally Durant Plummer, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently trying to figure out who the HELL Sally Durant Plummer is.

I can no longer delay in seeing the Harry Potter film. Locally it is only playing in one theater and one showing at 10:35am. It will be gone by the new year and the home video version will hit the streets by

Gone are the days when a movie can play 2-3 years at the same theater. Gone are the days when there a single screen cinemas.

I remember The Sound of Music, Annie Hall and Duck You Sucker having long runs at movie theaters. I think a long run is maybe six weeks,

Good morning, all! I went to bed early, and got up early to put the laundry into the washers. When everything's dried, I'm going to remake the bed with my loverly new down comforter.

As for the remainder of the day, I have Victor Herbert work to accomplish and a possible trip to the movies that I did not make yesterday. If I don't go today, I may go tomorrow. I've also got a ton of DVDs to be viewed amd two books to finish. One is the new bio of Sal Mineo and the other the new autobio of Hugh Martin, which I wish he'd written before he found Jesus; it's funny, the stories are great, but the book would have been a lot bawdier and more fun if Jesus weren't telling Hugh to be nice.

I wish it weren't 8:15am; I want to vacuum!

I have decided that I don't like it quite so much when Christmas falls on a Saturday.

I agree DR ELMORE - Hugh should not let Jesus do his editing.

Radio Shack sent me an email telling me that I have opened my gifts, it is time to accessorize.

Karen Foxers sent me an email telling me that I can make out with 10,000 local whores.

Anonymous sent me an email telling me that Viagra is on sale NOW!

Whew....this will be a busy day.  I don't know where to start.

DR CILLA LIZ - you don't have to remember those pants, now that I have seen that photo - I will NEVER forget them.

Sounds like the party was much fun for MR BK yesterday!

Today I shall do nothing - which is fine......at least not unless some calls or emails something different than I have already received.

Richmond vibes for DR JOSE.....have fun.

MR BK did you listen to the B side of your 45 rpm record to hear Mr George Sidney talking.  He didn't sound anything like I thought he would!

Happy Boxing Day to all!

I plan on celebrating Boxing Day at church. Then perhaps I will take my new camera tripod for a walk.

We watched a couple of movies yesterday:

CYRUS, which we didn't like.

We thought it was going to be a comedy, but it was too creepy for our tastes.

I did like Marisa Tomei, though.  She is always good.

MOTHER AND CHILD was the other one.  Very well acted, but it could have lost 15 minutes.

Annette Benning is terrific in the movie, actually better than she is in THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT.  But, since it's a better overall film, she'll get her Oscar for KIDS.

The laundry is put away, the floors are vacuumed and I am quite content. I've listened to Bach's Christmas Oratorio for my spritual improvement for Sunday. Now I'm listening to Juliane Baird's recording of Christmas carols and it's time to ponder some breakfast, perhaps eggs and ham.

Off to work.  In the words of JR, Oh, well.

Two things the Pastor at the church I work for should start thinking about NOW:  1)  Christmas is on Sunday next year.  Having an 11:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service AND a 10:00 a.m. Sunday service is NOT a smart idea.  2)  For two years running now, the alarm has gone off during the 11:00 p.m. service.  The alarm code is a closely held secret (not even I know, since I'm never there when it's on).  Mayhaps it's time he learn that secret.  :)

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And it's still snowing in Richmond, Virginia.

*It's actually been sort of constant over the past 18 hours, however, it's also been on the light side.  I think we're only supposed to get about seven inches total by the time things wrap up later today.  -But if I was back in New York City right now, well...

Good morning.

Happy Sunday, Happy Boxing Day, Happy Day after Christmas.

It seems eerily quiet here.  The snow has started, and because it's been so cold here, it's already beginning to stick.  It's really quite beautiful right now looking outside my window.
I think I shall have a quiet day indoors today.  Perhaps watch a movie, and do some cleaning.

Hope everyone stays safe and warm today.
