The top of my shoulders are killing from yesterday. Not sure how to stretch them out. I guess I am not in dance shape!

I'm curious on the West Coast do they show the East Coast ball drop on tv?  Or do they simply delay the broadcast?

My new calendars are hung.

The NYC Firemen's Calender?

Well it's the Lucille Ball Calendar .... but it has its moments.

A Lucille Ball calandar definitely trumps my selection of calandars this year.  My most exciting one is Norman Rockwell...

TOD:

I would like to go back to working in Philly.
I would like to go see more theatre.
I would like to do at least one creative thing.
I would like to see increased good health and prosperity for all my friends and family.

Good 2011 morning all!

It took some time but I finely got the dogs out from under the bed.  Toby was a small quivering mass and if Sheena could have crawled into my skin, I think she would have.

As for the topic of the day, I have many wishes but I guess that if things would just stay as they are--I keep my job and home, I'll be happy.

In a perfect world, I'd win the lotto, quit work and help my friends and as many animals as I could.  Good health would abound to everyone I know and there really would be peace on earth.

TOD: I love to have meaningful employment at a decent pay scale and benefit in the coming year and to do well (meaning learn) from my classes. And to think about getting this body into something approximating dance shape. And I would like all of the above for anyone out there needing the same.

I thought that Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper were very funny last night. Glad I tuned in at 10pm to hear them say that they would be on from 11pm till 12:30am. He looks so scared of her all the time. I guess it's the live tv thing. I wonder how he would be with her if he wasn't always so concerned that she would say something that she's not allowed to say.

He giggled unrepentantly at everything she said and did.  It was charming...and a bit odd.

The Vixter was supposed to go out to a party but on Thursday morning she started feeling poorly

she spent her New Years' Eve slathered with Vicks and huddled inbed

Vixdad and I went to a suprise birthday party for my brother.  He turned 50 on Christmas day.

My sister in law arranged to have her parents host a party.
He thought he was attending a small New Years Eve party with just his inlaws

He really was suprised -everyone who attended had spoken to him within the past few days and discussed their plans for NewYears - going out to dinner - the movies - a house party- etc - one of the attendees even asked my brother to come over to HIS house, which offer my brother regretfully declined as he was committed to a quiet dinner parties with his inlaws!

My sisterinlaw also arranged for a singing telegram - which for some reason was delivered by a gorilla ina pink tutu (witha  rather nice singing voice)

She had asked us for stories about his childhood, youth etc and funny little facts and stories wre worked into the song - it was very funny and a great success

TOD:  If I had my druthers... all the rooms in my house would be completed and decorated. All the clutter would have a place and stay there. I'd figure out a way to have my business be very successful and still have time to relax and enjoy life and no matter what year brings...I want to be happy about it.

When I came home last night all three cats were sitting by the door waiting for me and when I woke this morning Ricky was curled up by my shoulder and Boo was curled up by my feet.  The three of them are getting along and I think Ricky has added a lot to the mix.  Now I just hope that whatever the bump is on Callie's lip is, it isn't serious.
