If you've ever been to Bountiful (Utah, that is), you know someone somewhere had a supreme sense of irony in naming places.  ;)

We will be going to Staples to see if they have covers for e-readers. I'm surprised it's so difficult to get one. The official Sony cover for my specific e-reader is sold out at Best Buy and at many places on line. They are also far too expensive. I just want a cover since it is a piece of electronic equipment. I want to protect it from bumps and scratches. I will also look for those protective sheet covers (it's a touch screen). Anthony will also look for a case for his walkman.

That's our day. It's supposed to be around 50 degrees today. More and more snow is melting. By Monday when I return to work we will have a mess of slush but that's winter and I can live with it.

My sisterinlaw also arranged for a singing telegram - which for some reason was delivered by a gorilla ina pink tutu (witha  rather nice singing voice)

So, that's where my date for the evening was.

Vixdad and I went to a suprise birthday party for my brother.  He turned 50 on Christmas day.

My sister in law arranged to have her parents host a party.
He thought he was attending a small New Years Eve party with just his inlaws

He really was suprised -everyone who attended had spoken to him within the past few days and discussed their plans for NewYears - going out to dinner - the movies - a house party- etc - one of the attendees even asked my brother to come over to HIS house, which offer my brother regretfully declined as he was committed to a quiet dinner parties with his inlaws!

My sisterinlaw also arranged for a singing telegram - which for some reason was delivered by a gorilla ina pink tutu (witha  rather nice singing voice)

She had asked us for stories about his childhood, youth etc and funny little facts and stories wre worked into the song - it was very funny and a great success

That sounds great and a very clever way of pulling it off. I would love to hear the song; I bet FJL would have a field day if someone invited him to write lyrics for something like that!

Good morning, good day, how are you this beautiful day?  I am up.  It took me quite a while to fall asleep, but I ultimately did and had a pretty good night's sleep.  The sky is blue and I am trying to be fully awake.

You can accept cash in lieu of the house.  I wonder if they'd let you have a week there before accepting the cash

I am happy to report that I have just written a little over four pages of a new book.  As always, it's taking me a bit of time to get back in the swing of it, so I've been making lots of changes as I go, but I think it's a fun opening and I have finally gotten to use the expression "pointy party hat" in a book. :)

If bk is writing another Hofstetter mystery, I guess I'd better read the latest one.  I had started it but I don't know what happened and I didn't finish it.
