You need a kennel that opens on top or comes apart.

The "kennel" was their cage in the back. She didn't have any trouble taking him out of our carrier to put him in the cage, but he had no intention of being removed from their cage.

Then you were the one who got him out of the kennel.

Wow, Petey was like that.  I once paid to have someone play with him when I had to board him and he snarled howled and fought them every time they tried to take him out and play

Back from a nice dinner with my grantwriter friends.  Rob had a few good stories from his first day of firefighter training and now we're watching the Sugar Bowl.  If he's lucky the Arkansas quarterback might get to beat Ohio State - something he probably couldn't have done had he stayed at Michigan.

And, speaking of Michigan, is Rodriquez in or out?

Out...

That's what I heard this afternoon, but the crawl on ESPN says Michigan denies that a decision has been made.

For those of you who are slightly squeamish, unless you have pets & should read this, feel free to skip my post.

Earlier I mentioned Sherlock had been biting at an area on his hip or backside, on the left side to be precise.  We couldn't find anything & I suspect the redness is due to the biting, not the biting from the redness.  The vet said sometimes that spot on the body is due to itching, irritation & a plugged anal sack.  Sure enough his left sack was slightly plugged & enlarged.  She took care of the problem & will recheck it in two weeks.  For his skin we have an antibiotic powder to use.

Just got off a 15-hour day as an extra on a new show called "Meet Jane" that has begun filming in Austin. Stars Molly Parker of "Deadwood." Fun, but it was long. Don't have time to read any postings tonight. So, a blanket vibes for all in need and hope that doesn't include any new names on the list.

Off to bed.

Singer/songwriter of two of my all time favorite 70s songs, Gerry Rafferty...passed away today.

BAKER STREET and RIGHT DOWN THE LINE....man, those songs bring back fond memories.

Here is an obit. Rafferty had a very sad life, it seems.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/jan/04/gerry-rafferty-obituary

and in case his name doesn't ring a bell...just click here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sedPivIxfM&feature=related

or here...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkS169P_Eeo

Earlier, I read a headline, "'Baker Street' Singer Dies," and I thought that a singer from the musical Baker Street had died.  I've never heard of him...or the song. :-\

Craig want to see Invention and I was determined to be one of the first people to get it from NetFlix when it was released this morning.  I mailed back three DVD's yesterday.  They all arrived this morning & Invention will be shipped today.  I hope my son is impressed. ;D

LOL twice I typed Invention when I meant INCEPTION. ::)

I really enjoyed it.  I bought the DVD and it arrived today.

wonder if I won the Mega Millions jackpot 355 million.... although the newscasters explained that with the cash upfront option and after taxes you would "only" get 135 million of which you would need to safely invest 80 million in order to live off the interest and would "only" have less than 40 million for splurging purposes

ah well - guess I would just have to keep clipping coupons

IIRC, Baker Street is about Gerry's psychoanalyst, who used to practice on Baker Street in San Francisco.  I remember singing that song to myself as I walked down Baker Street one day in my hippie era circa 1978 or so.  ;)

In terms of these lotto mega-jackpots, I truly don't understand why anyone younger than 70 or so wouldn't opt for the annuity option.  In the case of MegaMillions you're probably going to bring in at least 7-8 million (after taxes) per year, and you'll end up in 25 or 30 years (however long it's amortized for) with a LOT more $$$$$.
