I found the story of the woman searching for her biological family, & found her half sister to be Oprah Winfrey, very interesting & moving. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_tv_oprah_winfrey

I'd seen the commercial for today's Oprah show and set my DVR to find out what the great revelation was.  I'm sure the episode will be quite moving. :)

I've done all my stuff in terms of shipping, and the interim helpers have the rest and will do it by the end of the day.  I can now finally sit down to write.

Well...

The building handyman just repaired the stopper assembly in the downstairs' bathroom sink. Sorta. And he also looked at the power-flow(?) assembly in the toilet. Sorta.

It's 3 degrees here right now, but we're supposed to get to 30 today, can't wait

I loved the photo of Ricky hiding! I cannot remember now when you posted it, but it made me laugh. Post more.

I'll tell him to do something cute tonight.

Sorry DR Druxy.  I didn't think I gave anything away & Jennifer left a spoiler space.

As for what Jennifer said, I completely agree.

I'm also confused at how someone could be spoiled.  Why read a discussion called "SERIES FINALE OF MEDIUM if you don't want to know about what happened in the series finale of Medium.

Not worth discussing.

Only 13 degrees F outside? It sure felt colder than that.

So I am back from the NYPL. I know more about vaudevile artiste Madge Ellis, "Queen of Brilliants," but I still know nothing about the collaboration of Victor Herbert and Booth Tarkington. I wonder if there's a historical site in Indianapolis?

There are two major repositories for the Booth Tarkington papers: Indana Historical Society in Indianapolis and the Princeton Library, I guess I will make a trip to Princeton when the weather warms up, before I head off to visit DR JRand60.

DR Elmore - come to Middletown first and we'll drive over to Indianapolis together!  I know right where the IHS is located.

Many of Booth Tarkington's books are available at Project Gutenberg. I think I will add them to my Sony reader and delve into his ouvre.

I've been meaning to read SEVENTEEN forever.  I love the musical from the early 1950s.

I've written about three pages and am about to end a chapter.  After that, four chapters to go.  I'm in the trickiest part of the book and in every Hofstetter book, this is the part that's the hardest - I always go a little nutty during these last four chapters, trying to have clarity and suspense and a really good reveal.

It's ok.  You need to get the hang of skipping subjects that might disclose more info than you want.  It is possible you might enjoy the episode more having an idea of what happens.

It is of its era. I found the racism really hard to digest when I read it a couple of years ago. And I, too, like the musical.

No longer spoilers:

1.  It sank.
2.  They're all dead.
3.  She's actually alive.
4.  He's crazier than you even think he is.
5.  Ma and Pa Kettle are actually cousins.

You may thank me later.

Woo and hoo, it was 36 degrees here today.  Our high was only six degrees lower than Phoenix' low.  I can live with that

I am currently addicted to the "Books" function of Google search.  They have an astounding number of Billboard magazines available to peruse, going back to the Swing Era.
