I saw the story about those cars earlier on the news... The owners went into a bar to watch the NY Jets' game yesterday... A watermain broke spraying water everywhere, and Voila! -Car-sicles!

I am very annoyed with myself - I lost my warmest pair of gloves on Saturday --- I had them on my lap in the car and when I got out they must have fallen to the ground in the car park - I didn't realize until later when I went to put them back on that they were missisng

You'd need a really heavy-duty ice scraper for those cars!

I highly recommend it. It's so nice to not have to be at the tv set right when something starts or to be able to take a phone call or leave the room and just rewind and pick up whatever you missed

No, but I got the cast recording on cassette years ago through Interlibrary Loan and made a copy of it...I eventually made a CD of that. I should still have it...if it's still in my garage.

I read that as "if it's still in my garbage"

Almost...but not quite.

I actually was able to find the CD-R that I made and I'll listen to it at work tomorrow. Hopefully, it's still good. I had a video-CD that had a paper label on it that isn't viewable anymore. Only the first couple of scenes were still playable. It starts to pixelate about 15 minutes into it, but then it freezes.

So earlier tonight, my friend Margo's daughter called me, asking if I could come over because her mom broke her toe!

I get over there and medics had been there and put a very simple splint and bandage on the big toe of her right foot, but it was still bleeding a bit. I drove her to Group Health's emergency care and after about 20 minutes of waiting, they finally took her in, x-rayed her and found that she has a compound fracture behind the nail bed. They put on a half-splint and totally bandaged it up. She has to see someone again within the next couple of days.

AND just a few months ago, she had her left knee replaced. Fortunately, her new knee is still fine.
