Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Cilla we loved The King's Speech

Can't wait to see it

I too am looking forward to this moving even if it ignores the truth regarding the Nazi sympathizers.

I think this shocking news is exactly meant to shock and discourage Oscar voters from supporting it; the film was written by David Seidler, a Jew who lost family in the Holocaust.

the point is the story was not about politics - it is the story of a man who spent his life thinking of himself as a major disappointment to his family  and who is suddenly thrust into a position which he neither sought nor wanted nor felt able to reject and who is terribly afraid he will fail - it is a deeply personal story and that is the film's focus - and why I think it succeeds so brilliantly

This is the impression I've gotten from what I've read about the film.  Can't wait to see it tomorrow

So, I think I'm going to go upstairs and watch Inception.  Then I need to get some sleep.  I have to go to work in the morning and make sure I bring home some work home. I have lots of writing to do and I can do it here on Monday if we get more snow than is predicted.  One never knows

Tomorrow afternoon will be the movie and then laundry and cleaning before Monday.  Oh, and I have to get all the films for the festival organized by time.   I usually judge the locals so I think I'll watch the grad student films,  I usually don't see those until we're down to the finals.

I heard the song "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" on Pandora today  ( I ended up going into the office for a few hours today) and ever since I have had a hankering to see Notting Hill - I loe the scene when Hugh Grant is walking down the street with that song playing

My Day:

1.  Cleaned and organized garage after 9 months of living here.  :)
2.  Went to watch HAROLD AND KUMAR to review it, discovered for the first time ever I had a defective Netflix BD, punted by watching BEETHOVEN 4-6 and reviewing that instead.
3.  Spent 90 minutes scanning the book about my father and emailing it in pieces to the French journalist.
4.  Helped Betsy clean the office.
5.  Used new extend-o-pole to replace a bunch of burnt out lightbulbs in these insanely high ceilings.  Had to improvise, as several of them have a little "rim" thing that came out with the bulb--won't go into details, suffice it to say wrapping paper was involved to get the rims back in their slots.
6.  Created a brass arrangement, charted it, extracted and transposed parts, for upcoming Easter anthem.

I've done enough.  Bye.

With FJL's help, we've been working on the lyric redo and are finally getting somewhere.  Once you solve the first part of that puzzle then things get clearer.
