I can't can't of a single "based on fact" book or film that isn't subject to its author's/creator's dramatic license. There's very little truth in the film biographies of Fanny Brice or Cole Porter (either version in my opinion), but I don't dislike FUNNY GIRL, MIDNIGHT EXPRESS, or NIGHT AND DAY because they're not accurate; I think they're lousy movies.

I want to see SOCIAL NETWORK because I hear it's a really good film, and I don't care if it doesn't represent Zuckerberg's perspective of what he believes is the truth about Facebook. We all rewrite history to our own advantages, deliberately or not.

I thought you were joking about Boycotting. I never said that. I said I have reservations about watching it. The way you worded your comments it sounds like you believe the false truths told in the movie. I suppose that is why I have reservations. Usually I read the truth after watching the movie. Knowing a few of the blatant inaccuracies going into the film might ruin it for me. As I mentioned it is still at the top of my NetFlix queue.

We don't know what the false truths are! Even Zuckerberg in his defense is telling lies. It's all "he said/she said."

There are some facts that can be proven. Honestly I wasn't interested in watching this movie when I first read about it. Unlike you backstabbing stories aren't my cup of tea

I put it on my list of movies because the reviews & comments here were so kind. Then I began reading more and more about the "untruths" in the story. Now I'll watch it as if it is mostly fiction.

And I prefer finding out the accuracy of the story AFTER I watch, not constantly reading disputes regarding it before hand.

DR Jane, be sure to read ACCIDENTAL BILLIONAIRES by Ben Mezrich either before or after you see THE SOCIAL NETWORK. It's a nice breezy read and could (or could not) help you to sort out the truths from the half-truths

YES! The other lead singer playing Donna Donna has one of those voices that are impossible to understand. I could understand EVERY WORD Dana sang.....and she had such darn funny facial expressions!

I wasn't planning on watching it as a "backstabbing" story.

I know nothing about the movie, the "facts" behind it, anyone's version of the truth. I actually didn't know I preferred a "backstabbing" story; all I want to watch is a good story and a good movie. I hear it's a good movie.

And no matter who's presenting the story of the origins of Facebook, all the characters in the story are each presenting "their" reality to interviewers and writers, and I believe the truth is somewhere between their lines.

I love that both my boys are such wonderful cooks & yet with very different styles. Bryan is more a gourmet chef while Craig is an everyday, vegan, cook. He disputes the fact some of the dishes he makes would be considered gourmet.

I just had an incredible black bean slider and even better were the sweet potato fries in the rocoto sauce-heavenly.

I'm now enjoying my third small glass of Glenlivet. The cork broke which required us to filter out the extra cork in the bottle, which required me to drink what didn't fit into the decator we poured the filtered scotch into.

Years ago I used to make Keith's mother's recipe & then I switched to one from my James Beard cook book. I would like to find a good but healthier recipe. In reality I just want someone to make one and share a piece with me.

I used a very simple recipe. Sugar, flour, eggs, butter, pecans etc....I did add a teaspoon of vanilla. I think vanilla enhances almost any baked good

The leftover Glenlivet is sitting on the counter calling me. I know better than to have a fourth little glass no matter how delicious it is. I told Craig he is lucky not to have inherited my low tolerance for alcohol. Both boys fortunately take after Keith & can drink reasonable amounts without feeling the effects.
