Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sleepy, and now it is time for you to post until the sleepy cows come home.

For the first time in over a week, there is NO snow on the road.

So I can do my regular shopping rounds today!

That is nice.

I also dropped out of the Dancing With the Stars competition because of the weather - it is too far to drive and much more bad weather is expected.....I wish they would hold it later in the spring.

I have to finish my play this month - and the plans for the theatre's 50th anniversary season keep rolling along, so I needed one less thing to worry about.

MR BK has much more stamina and planning ability than I do.

Good morning, all! This morning I'm off to Toyland and then to the NYPL, which opens at noon. I have to make a stop at my bank to raise hell and that's my day.

TOD: the Guttenberg Bible, for two reasons: if I could afford it, it would mean I'm financially set for life; if I sell it, it means I am financially set for life!

Did Christina Aguilera actually sing "At the twilight's last reaming" last night before th Super Bowl?  Sure sounded like it!

A very quick Christina Aguilera Star Spangled Banner parody - founding fathers watch and react (all in fun)

I do  love her - but this moment just cried out for parody.

Ok. I am not a singer. (Shut up, Kerry.) But sometimes I just want to grab a throat and say, "Pick a note. Just pick a note. And stay on it!!"

Player #99 looks like he was itching to go grab a throat, too.
And Player #22 was crying over the butchering of our National Anthem.

CNN reported that she issued a lovely statement.

(I bet this is like the Leslie Uggams flub situation where the flub find the star fans she never had before.  :)  )

It's not even the flubbing of the line that gets me. Anyone could do that. It's the rest of it. And, yes, I realize that is the way it is sung these days.

Greetings from Toyland. I have just printed out today's orders on what's to be done, and I will get to them immediately.

I;m over my irritation so I'm redoing this post. One project down, several to go!

And that's my day.

Monday morning greetings!  A cold rain is falling here in SW Ohio, but it's above freezing.

DS Rob is student paramedic-ing with the Dayton Fire Department today - bet he'll come home with stories!

DR FJL - thanks for the parody.  What made Christina's flub even more shocking to me was the video that we'd just received from our niece of her son's kindergarten class singing the national anthem at a high school basketball game Friday night.  They got all the words right.
