John G., you should get Sandra to help you with your paper. She is very good at writing on and on about nothing.

Yesterday my sister put my niece's (1 yr 9 m) dinner up on the kitchen counter for a second while she went to the other room.  Then she hears "uh-oh". Someone she had managed to reach the counter, reach the plate... Anyhow my sis found the dinner sitting on the floor (plastic plate). I thought it sounded funny.

Can you imagine, "uh oh" :)

How much food could have been on the plate anyways?

My sis just wonders how the kid was able to reach the counter. My guess. Her tippy toes!

Tuesday morning greetings!  I have a day of house prep today, because it's been decided that my cousin from Japan and his 7-year-old son will stay with us when they arrive tomorrow.  They may eventually move into my aunt's house (my cousin's mom), but it needs some attention and I want him to see the condition in which she left it last Friday.

Travel vibes to BK - I suspect his route is too southerly for him to wave at Ohio.

Who remembers the states game that went something like this:

What did Delaware?  She wore a New Jersey!

How did Florida?  She died of Missouri!

I don't recall others.  Anyone?

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I'm wondering just how much half-price Valentine's Day candy is on the shelves of Duane Reade. -I swear that some of it just gets packed away and stored for the following year.  In any case...

Oh...

And I did not get to see the dogs at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. My friend, Lynn, told me that "Fizz" was going to be showing at 1:00, and just to get there a little before then, call her and she would come get me and bring me in.  Hmmm... -Really? -You're going to head leave your dog just a couple of minutes before before shown?  Hmmm... Well... I got there at 12:30. I called. Left a message. I texted. I called again at 12:45 and left another message... And at 1:10 I left Madison Square Garden. Ah, well...

-And I still haven't heard from her, nor do I know how well Fizz did yesterday.

Well, that explains why so many people call Oregon, Oree'gone.

Oregonians pronounce it Orah'gun, and many of them get quite riled if it is pronouned any other way.

Well, this Oregonian doesn't get riled about it...I couldn't care less how it is pronounced.

Does anyone remember the 1950s TV series SOLDIERS OF FORTUNE which starred DR DRuxy's client John Russell and Chick Chandler?

I picked up the entire series on DVD due to the fact that it has gotten such glorious reviews on certain interweb sights.

I was not familiar with the show, but after watching just one episode, I have to admit that it is quite good.

John Russell always seemed such a stoney type, but he has a lot of personality in this show. Some fun guest stars show up in future episodes, I have noticed. I think both Sally Fraser and Gloria Talbott are coming up soon, if I recall.

And while I am on the subject of vintage TV, FRONTIER CIRCUS, the entire series, is now out on DVD. John Derek and Richard Jaeckel alone are worth the price of admission  :)

Good one.

DR MBarnum, I can fancy "Oregon" being pronounced "Ora gun" in this context....where has Ora gun?

As for the Topic of the Day...

"The Windmills of Your Mind" - It was the first song I had to learn and play in high school jazz band.
"Watch What Happens" - I really like the version that Rare Silk did.
