Regeneration vibes for DR Elmore, as FJL so eloquently phrased it.

But I have a question. I realize Tunick was interested in orchestrations, but how could he have seen the bassoonist grab a clarinet? Was his seat in the orchestra pit? Or was it staged like the most recent "Gypsy" with the band on the stage?

Greetings from Toyland!

Jonathan has never told me where he sat with his family in 1949, only the story about the player changing instruments. Perhaps they sat in a box from which he could see the stage into the wings and into the pit. He was a clarinetist, so perhaps the seats were chosen so he could keep an eye on the orchestra?

In other news, I went to the foreclosure sale yesterday expecting to witness Turner's business going up on the block.   It didn't happen even though I looked at the court docket the  night before to make sure it was still there.   There were many others that were canceled so I thought it was a "go".

Anyway, I sat though the entire thing waiting for a chance to go up and ask what happened.  It seems that Mr. Turner has filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy and it must have happened within the past day.  I was heartbroken at first because I thought that meant the end of any chance of my collecting my money.

Since I was across the street from the law library, I went in and asked for books on chapter 7 and what it means to someone like me.  While it isn't all good news, there is a very good chance that I can get the judge to not forgive my part of Mr. Turners debt.   If I understood what I read correctly, a person who files to get out of paying for fraud won't be granted his/her bankruptcy.

Since my civil judgement paperwork clearly states "This is an action for damages for breach of contract and fraudulent inducement." as well as the print outs of the times not only I was on TV but 2 others for money Mr. Turner took (proving he has a pattern of taking money), I believe I have a case.

I'm just going to have to find out when his court date is and make sure I show up to present these facts.  As a lien holder, I believe I should receive some type of paperwork regarding the where and when this will happen.

I can't imagine that a judge would let him get away with not paying his victim what the courts have already said he owes.

And the saga continues.......

All I can do is try.

So, I'm down but I'm not out.   Yet.  Lord only knows how long this is going to take.

Saturday morning greetings!  I peeked in between 4:30 and 7:30am, when I was sleepless in Seattle Middletown.  After Rob left for his ER work, I went back to bed and slept until almost 10:30.  Now I'm watching cartoons with Rei while his dad is visiting the hospital.

On a lighter note...

I brought home the Valentines balloon they used at work as a decoration because they were just going to pop it.  I wanted to see what the dogs would think about it.

Well, last night both Sheena and Toby ran from it and went out side.  They wouldn't come back in until I put it Mom's room and were still very ify about the whole thing.

Today Toby has spent his morning barking at it from the safety of the hall.  I'd die laughing if it would only catch some type of breeze and head towards him.  :)  It's a safe bet he wouldn't be able to get away from it fast enough!

I guess I'm a mean Mom.

matthew - this mother would be so much happier if you would go get that chest pain checked out - even if it has passed......

Thanks, vixmom, for the concern.  However, it really wasn't a pain more like a muscle ache.  It was definitely a muscle issue and not a "pain" if that make sense :)

Today is the real start of my four day weekend.  When I got out of bed this morning, I moved very slowly, but I was able to stand up without crying out.  A big improvement over the last few days.

We just cranked up the VCR player to watch Disney's PETER PAN, a relic from Rob's childhood.  I knew there'd be a reason to keep those tapes!

Of course I echo City Lights, one of the most sublime movies ever made.  After that, I love The Circus best.  Then Limelight.  Then The Kid.

I just ate some Quaker Instant Oatmeal (apples and cinnamon) and felt the need to wash my cup right away afterward.

That's the oatmeal I have every morning. I add walnuts and cranberries.

My influence reaches all the way to California.

I had oatmeal today for the first time since Monday. I had plain oatmeal (we buy it in the large containers at Western Beef since we both have it for breakfast) with walnuts, raisins and a teaspoon of cinnamon (it goes in the microwave for 5 minutes with a stir or two during the process) and a cup of coffee.

I have never been able to eat instant oatmeal.  I like the old fashioned kind.  I don't care fore steal oats either for the opposite reasons I dislike the instant.  One is too mushy, the other too gritty.

Danise, don't get your hopes up. I am sorry to tell you that my mother was a creditor in a bankruptcy for a company that defrauded her. With an estate of $24,000 in assets, after the lawyers, trustee, and taxes were paid, only $225 was left, and it was given to someone else.

Jane, try putting one cup of milk and .25 cup of steel-cut oats in a container and letting it sit 24 hours in the refrigerator. Then cook it. It will cook fairly quickly and won't be gritty.

I put mine on to cook, rinse the container out, and refill it for the next day.
