I have oatmeal every day at work.  It's instant and not the best but I don't have time to make the real kind.

I also have to eat it with water instead of milk and no sugar.  It's really yucky but I have to have something to eat when I get to work because there are meds I have to take that you need to eat with.

I also have meds that you can't have food with so I take those before I leave home.

Sounds like bad weather your way, DR VixMom.

I hate to tell you all this but we were in the 70's today and it was very nice outside.

I think that because BK came to visit.   We were cold last Monday and Tuesday.

Had a fun work session with the twelve-year-old and have finished the song choices - too many, and now we'll narrow it down to twelve or thirteen.  Then we went to Casa Vega for a late lunch - at three-thirty it was jammed with people and it got worse.  By the time we left at five there were about thirty people waiting to get in.  This, someone can explain to me, because it defies all logic.

on the weekends , since we are often busy running all the errands we cannot accomplish during the work week, we often have a late lunch/ early dinner aroud 4 PM

matthew - this mother would be so much happier if you would go get that chest pain checked out - even if it has passed......

Thanks, vixmom, for the concern.  However, it really wasn't a pain more like a muscle ache.  It was definitely a muscle issue and not a "pain" if that make sense :)

not to be a nag or a gloomy gus - but I would just like to point out  that the heart is a muscle....

I agree with you, vixmom.

Casa Vega?  Is that where Robert Blake killed his wife?  I think I have a signed menu from there.

according to the weather channel 20 -25 mph -- nothing compared to the midwest's tornadoes - but blustery enough for me!

I like to eat dinner at 4:30 it stops me from munching before dinner.  I ate late tonight and munched way too much.  That box of Girl Scout cookies before dinner didn't help.

You have Girl Scout cookies already?  I tried to buy Camp Fire mints from the young ladies and gentlemen, but they were SOLD! OUT! OF! MINTS! {Sorry, I have been keeping that in all afternoon.}   So I had to buy their Almond Caramel Clusters instead.  I am guessing that there may be four clusters in this $5.00 box.

We eat dinner early also, around 5pm usually.

Also, I make my oatmeal with water as well. I like it that way.

We just had a fabulous dinner of miso soup, salmon, stir-fried carrots & cabbage, steamed Brussels sprouts, and rice.  We were celebrating a slight improvement in my aunt's condition and her impending move on Monday back to the transitional care unit at the retirement community.  I'm so glad that's scheduled to take place while my cousin is still here.
