John Barrymore's DR JEKYLL & MR HYDE is on TCM Silent Sunday.  I may watch it....as I have never seen it.

MR BK - was Taylor aware that he opened his store on Allison Hayes' birthday?  Quite appropriate!

DR Danise - I don't like this version nearly as much as I liked the 10th anniversary.  The 3 young pop singers as Cosette, Marius, and Eponine are especially weak.
Fantine was no prize either.  I swear I heard several flat notes from more than one person.

Lea Salonga was Fantine. She is a fantastic singer. How could they do better than her for Fantine?

Have not watched the show yet but am looking forward to it.  The one who sticks out for me is the Jonas brother.

DR Jose, they can force you to check your carry on? What if you don't want to?

I can't wait to see Richard Hatch on The Apprentice. He should be funny!

And Lea Salonga played Eponine on the 10th anniversary concert!

I wasn't pleased with the decision on Celebrity Apprentice but it sets up what may be a fist-a-cuffs before the season is over

I have mentioned before that the Artistic Director of one of our theaters is suffering from Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.  They have bbasically told him that there is nothing else to be done.  He just finished directing MY NAME IS ASHER LEV, which has been his great desire.  Today his wife, who is a Cilty Councilwoman in Tacoma posted the latest update on Marcus.  It is too long for me to post here, but if you go to my web page at Facebook, I have shared it.  Very touching.

I actually just read it -- my prayers and VIBES for Marcus, his wife and all who love them

DR George I was curious what the cost of a ticket is in Oregon & looked it up.  I read it is $90.  Where does your friend live as I read the following:
Quote
In Washington, driving while using a cell phone is a secondary offense, meaning police can only ticket drivers for talking on their cell phones once they've pulled them over for speeding or another traffic violation.

Of course the cost could have gone up and the rules changed.

That law has been changed in Washington.

He lives in Tacoma and was on I-5.  And talking on your cell phone is now a first offense...and he was speeding.  I spoke with him today...he has learned his lesson.

Went to a Mardi Gras party thrown by some theater people in this town. Low-key evening. Nice. Good food.

Now, some sleep.

Our pastor has decided we are all going to fast for three weeks before Easter. Your pastor is more fun than our pastor.

Dinah Shore, Barbra Streisand, Georgia Brown and more perform "The Brother of Man." Fun clip from the early 60s.

That's pretty cool!

originally it was just for the kids but then I heard that Pastor would be wearing his PJs; then this week we were told that kids of ALL ages were expected to participate...

It is called the Daniel Fast. No animal products. Only fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and water to drink.

We do it the last three weeks before Easter. Ending at sunrise Easter morning.

I did it the first year and didn't lose an ounce.

Of course I suppose it really doesn't count as a sacrifice if you are doing it with the hope of losing weight.....
