The most spontanous thing I've ever done was marry someone 4 days after I met him

You win!

I haven't had a date in almost 10 years.   A spontaneous marriage and later divorce will do that to you

Then, I hope you enjoy it. It's not really a thriller or a mystery. It's a character study of someone I didn't care about.

Tonight we went to the Sweet 16 party

it was  nice

It was held in our church gym -  some of the members catered it for them - chicken francese, eggplant rollatinni, honey barbecued wings, lasagna, pasta bowties with veggies, salad  and a beautiful three tiered cake made by the Pastor's wife (she is a trained pastry chef)

The college production of "Gospel at Colonus" was wonderful. The cast was full of excellent voices and the simple staging was effective. I wish there had been more than 40 or so people in the audience. There were so few, it seemed as if there were more on stage, yet that didn't stop the singers from giving it their all.

Oh I may not like it either, but once I start on an author, I usually read all of them.  It's just a thing with me.

I like the cover photo but I am sorry BK, I am not crazy about the title font -  I find it very hard to read.

Me, too. I got to interview Michael Connelly a couple of times when I lived in Florida near his late mother's place in Venice. This was just as he was hitting it big, about 15-17 years ago. Nice guy. Very supportive of other writers, which I like.

I'm going to disagree on the title font. I think it has a fun, '30s mystery style to it.

Am off to study. Thankfully the book, "1959: The Year Everything Changed," is a good read.

Night, all.

I recommend EVERY DAY, although not everyone will like it. I liked it very much. The cast is quite good, and I usually don't like Helen Hunt. She's very good, and I think Liev Schreiber is pretty wonderful. The two young actors that play the sons are very good.

I wonder if Jose has found a home or if he is still relying on the kindness of friends
