Have you ever noticed how many people mangle that word? Ron offered sammich. I used to work with a sangwich eater.

The word is "sammintz."

The word is "sammintz."

I knew kids who said "sammich" and it always tickled me.

Have heard it pronounced "sangwich."

"Sammintz" is a new one to me.

My favorite kind of sammich is a 'mater sammich.

Mine arrived as well, and so did the Big Check! I am no longer overdrawn.

After I pay estimated taxes and a few other items, I'll be poor again.

We're expecting a a high in the upper 70's today and back to the 50's tomorrow.  It's a windy day though, with higher winds expected later.
The winds are tremendously strong here today. They were so loud that you couldn't hear other people in meeting I had to attend. And they kept the car swerving off toward the side.

Sounds like my life. Only my check didn't arrive today. Maybe the tax return did.

Saturday, I posted the cover of the new book - some liked the font, some didn't and found part of it hard to read.  The font was the same as Murder at the Hollywood Historical Society, and so I was not concerned with readability really.  But interestingly, I think it was JohnG that said that he really liked the cover AND the font because he felt it had a fun 30s mystery feel to it.  That comment made complete sense to me and that's the comment that caused me to rethink the font, because while the font was really appropriate for Hollywood Historical Society, which had to do with a group of older folks preserving Hollywood's classic history, this book is not that - so I talked to Grant about that and that made sense to him, too, and he just sent me the new version and it's really great, I think.  So, thanks to all for the feedback and I'm pleased as punch with this.

I really like the new font, BK.

When do you expect to start taking orders??

As soon as it's close to being delivered, probably in about eight weeks or so.

Back from a nice lunch meeting with two young gals who are putting together a cabaret show - I gave them some advice.

The bird has decided he does not like La Merm in "Gypsy." He shrieks, but only during her numbers. He did not do this with Tyne Daly yesterday. I think we're going to need to have a little talk.

Maybe Jesse on All that Chat meant to say UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG was catchy, and he wrote "kitschy" by mistake.

Maybe he's just singing along?

I just found out that a friend of mine -- the one who always came and helped with medical stuff for the foster kitties over the years -- was found deceased in her home. She had been ill for quite some time.

Proofed a chapter and did and errand and whatnot, and now back to more proofing - tonight I will try to watch Tangled as well as the documentary on The Ten Commandments.
