And what a brunch it was!

Deviled Eggs topped with Fried Oysters and Fried Shrimp (3 of each)
Oysters Shooters -And they were quite strong today!
Breakfast Tacos
Hash Browns
Oyster Po' Boy
"Surfer's" Sangria
Plus a sneak-peek of Ditch Plains' new Frozen Mojito.

Needless to say, as we walked back across the park after brunch, I was very tempted to sit down on a bench and take a nap in the sun. -Yes, the sun came out today! :)

A fried oyster on top of a a deviled egg?  That is difficult to picture in my mind.

Before the start of the Seattle Mariners game today, they introduced one of our Canadain players to the joys of Peeps.  His reaction was that they were definately an American invention.

I vaguely remember a small egg hunt or two.  My parents sometimes remembered to pick up some Easter candy at the last minute, that was about it.  Easter Sunday was like any other Sunday in our house, a BIG Sunday brunch with scrambled eggs, lox, cream cheese & bagels, and a ton of other goodies from the deli & bakery.

There was the year I decided I wanted to be a Presbyterian so my mother took me to a beautiful old church in L.A.  The choir at this church was very large & wonderful.  The service was beautiful & we had a very nice time.  We even saw our neighbors there.   Curiosity satisfied & I returned to temple the following Sunday.

Yes, I am home safe and sound.

It's raining lightly in Manhattan at the present. It's supposed to be 70 degrees tomorrow with rain forecast for most of the day.

My sister and I have been looking at Family Tree Maker on her computer.  She has done phenomenal amounts of genealogy research on our family.

And, now I'm about to go to bed.  I've been up since about 4:45am and just realized how tired I am - 'night!

Just got home a littlw while ago from a trip to my parents' house for Easter dinner.  It was nice to see the family.  Glad I didn't go up for the weekend. Everyone got along great. Had a nice time and we all left.   Nice.

We just finished watching GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER.

It's very dated, but I really like that movie.

Easter has always been a bigger deal to my parents than it is to me.  I have missed going to church on Easter many times as I did today.  But, I know how important it is to my mom that the family gets together.  So I go

I am still recovering from my late night evening on Friday.  I made a meatloaf and macaroni salad for myself for dinner.  Now, every thing is put away, and Nicky and I need to go to bed.
