The lineup for the Strouse show sounds great. "Rags" is a great score, so is "Dance a Little Closer,"even if the productions were not up to snuff.

The problem wasn't the productions, it was the books! They stank.

The productions were quite lush and interesting.

I saw a production of RAGS at the late Coconut Grove Playhouse. It included If We Never Meet Again. Unfortunatly it was not sung in its entirity.

The problem with this production as I remember was the libretto as it was the original. This production elimanated characters and tried to focus on the core characters and streamline the various stories. I felt there were still too many characters and even though they tried to focus the stories instead of a kalidiscope of the imigrant experience the plot was slight

The score is still a standout.

Aww, Druxy. She simply moved it to a place where you would see it. Now you have TWO!

Now, I have 3!

Did you call & ask if you can return the new one?

I have booked my flight, hotel, and car for my trip to the Bank of Bur in October. I shall be in the LA area from Oct. 7th to 14th. You have been warned.

Congratulations.  I hope you find your energy long before your trip.

What hotel are you staying at?

I just got back from the Honda dealership.

Not only did my %#$@* cat steal the remote door opener, she also broke it.

The tech could not re-program it.

Back from the chiropractor and do I ever feel better.

Of course just looking at the chiropractor could make one feel better, so handsome he is.

Now I understand why my experience with a chiropractor was useless, mine wasn't good looking enough ;)

TOD:

If you couldn't be an Oscar Meyer Wiener, is there anything else you'd wish to want to be?

Well...perhaps a "Pepper"....wouldn't you like to be a Pepper, too?

Back from the eye doctor and $350 lighter with two pairs of glasses on the way. Not happy with the total, but I have put off going for a year, and with my diabetes, that isn't good.

I hope everything was ok with your eyes.

Severe thunderstorm warnings for DC, Virginia and Maryland.  There were a few tornado warnings earlier.

He looks like a very unhappy Pepper!

Oh he wasn't unhappy, he was just closing his eyes as I snapped the shot.  He loves to squeeze in to boxes, bags etc that he doesn't really fit in

I was helping price and wrap the donated books that we thought may have value.  I actually came home with one of them.   The guys in charge gave it to me.  TCB would love it.    IT's Sinking of the Titanic, The World'S Greatest Sea Disaster Official Edition published in 1912.   It's in really good condition, except the pages are pretty brown now.  I am VERY happy to have it

Watching "The Fighter" tonight. It's really a lot of fun so far.

I watched THE DEVIL AND DANIEL WEBSTER (1941) last night.

It's been several years since I've seen it.

I couldn't help thinking that there were so many scenes in it that could have been directed by Orson Welles.

Perhaps it was the fact that both films were edited by Robert Wise....

And, that makes me wonder how much of CITIZEN KANE was Wise...and not Welles.

'Tis a puzzlement.
