Hello!!
I'm back from NYC, and had a really great time! I saw "Avenue Q," "Jumpers," "Forbidden Broadway" and "Wicked" (again). I hope you guys don't mind if I just lazily give you the link to my LiveJournal, in which I discuss my adventures and nights at the theatre!
http://www.livejournal.com/~bwaybabie/Wow, there are so many new people! It just makes me think how long I've been an H/K...I think it's been a year now! So welcome to Elan, mrkdl73 and any other "newbies" who I haven't met yet!
Also, welcome back, Jason! I've missed your stories, humor and sweetness.
Good vibes to your grandmother, Emily!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~I loved "Urinetown" when I saw it at the Henry Miller, although I do agree that it can be a little too self-referential and arch. I've heard so many wonderful things about Christiane Noll's Hope...my friends who saw it say she was an improvement on Jennifer Laura Thompson, wacky and golden-voiced as Ms. Thompson was.
BK--I read a book in NYC called "Ever After: The Last Years of Musical Theatre and Beyond" by Barry Singer. I loved the interview with you! It's a fabulous book, although I didn't agree with everything Singer said.
OH!
Noel--I went to AADA for a year. Sorry I wasn't able to answer your question until now!
