Today we are going to see the tour of "Billy Elliot." I am not sure I am going to like it.

I think you will love it.

Glad you got out of the tunnel, Jose.

I'm actually glad that the bus that I was on left a few minutes late and got caught in that traffic earlier in the trip.  Otherwise, there's a good chance that we would have been stuck in the tunnel, rather than on the approach to the toll plaza.

I never liked the Holland Tunnel.  I much prefer the Lincoln.  I don't know why, but the Holland seems more claustrophobic.

When I was in high school, I had a history test the day I found out my grandpa died and I couldn't do it.  I literally wadded it up, threw it away and walked out.  My teacher gave me "Atlas Shrugged" and told me to read it and write a report on it and he'd let me take the test again.  So I did.  I liked it.   Then we studied "The Fountainhead" in my high school college prep lit class.

I think Mikey would be disappointed to learn that ATLAS SHRUGGED is not a picture book.

Gee, I thought if I dropped in here less often, people wouldn't go running for the hills every time I sign in to HHW.  No such luck.  I even drove the Guests out of here.

Cilla, you asked if I read your post about a new Titanic book.  I guess I must have missed your post.  What is the new book called?  I imagine we will have lots of new books leading up to the 100th anniversary.

Including one celebrating the 100th anniversary of Cilla's book.   ;D

I have it on our NetFlix queue & haven't gotten to it yet.

Last night we finished watching the delightful RETURN TO CRANFORD. :D

I DID like the tour of Billy Elliot. Although one can't hear any of the words at Gammage. Their sound system sucks, as the young people would say.

I took a spin on my new bike.   I'm going to like it but it is still a lot of work to pedal.   I think there's a couple things that need tweaking but I'm definitely going to have to get in shape if I'm going to ride this very much

I thought you didn't have to pedal at all if you didn't want to.

You can ride without pedaling, but with this bike it drains the battery pretty quickly and you can't put it into that mode without pedaling first.  If you want something you never pedal you'd want a scooter or a moped.

I was helping price and wrap the donated books that we thought may have value.  I actually came home with one of them.   The guys in charge gave it to me.  TCB would love it.    IT's Sinking of the Titanic, The World'S Greatest Sea Disaster Official Edition published in 1912.   It's in really good condition, except the pages are pretty brown now.  I am VERY happy to have it

I have preordered the new Adriana book.

Usually I preorder items from KRITZERLAND through PayPal directly after reading the notes.....I must say that ordering and paying through the Kritzterland site and PayPal is easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Crazy day at WORLD OF WISDOM today....many new people.....THREE palm readings.....and I usually don't have THREE in a month!

And of course the looky-lous who wandered in at 10 minutes until six........at least they all bought something.  And it is the last day of the month, which means the Book Log system does a E O M reconciliation in addition to the END OF DAY.....  And my sister left the switch on LABELS, so my first report printed on LABELS.....I had to do it over again.....on paper.

But now I don't have to work until FRIDAY!

Wasn't that interesting?

All of the ATLAS SHRUGGED comments are very interesting.  I like the book and the characters....but I agree with DR JMK that it was all said already.....in THE FOUNTAINHEAD......

A BBC series, similar to UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS, writtien by the writer of GOSFORD PARK. It's quite wonderful. It begins the morning after the Titanic sank.

VIBES FOR STOCKARD, A SWEET BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG IN THE NETHERLANDS WHO IS HAVING SURGERY TOMORROW MORNING!!!

He fell & broke his hock.  The final x-ray revealed that two bones in the lower thigh/leg are broken, and they  aren't sure if the hock is fully damaged or not.  I don't know if the fact he is young & still growing works in his favor or against it.  His people will be up with him all night taking care of him.

I'm extremely impressed with their vet who insisted on going home with them & getting Stockard.  In the morning an assistant at the office will be at the house to help load him for his drive to the surgeon.

I apologize.  Yes, I had seen an article earlier on the DNA testing.  Still it is strange that the crew of the Mackay-Bennett were so moved by the body of one little boy, but at the same time bagged and dumped a large number of unidentifiable passengers back into the sea.
