My cousin was elected to the School Board of Azle, TX last night.

 :)

The amazing thing about that is that he's 18-years-old...and still in high school.

 :o

Congrats to your very young cousin, Druxy!

We've had the new computer since mid-April. We just moved it into the bedroom where the old one was located. Anthony wanted to finish up some projects on the old 'puter plus he was on Long Island for a while. The stars converged today and we made the move. Everything works except my laser printer. I never thought about the old connection through a parallel port. There is no parallel port on the new computer. I have to go to Staples or Best Buy and purchase a USB cord to connect the printer. Ugh!

But at least we have our dining room table back. We will be eating dinner shortly and it won't be on TV trays.

A woman that I work with had the exact same problem...she got a new computer and it didn't have the correct port for her old printer, which was otherwise a perfectly good printer.  She took it to where she bought the computer and they said that they could put in a new port, but for them to do it would probably cost a much as just buying a new USB printer.  She bought a new printer and is going to donate her old printer to Goodwill.

Just finished another huge round of book dusting and rearranging.  So far in this clean-up I've found 3 things that I thought I'd lost:

My folder of materials about Southern women writers
My Mardi Gras beads
The logo bookmark that I bought at The Tattered Cover bookstore in Denver in 1999

It depends on the artwork, but it could be as soon as eight weeks from now.

Easy date for me to remember, because we have 2 (count 'em, 2) weddings to attend that day in Cincinnati!

Wow it's 8:15PM, time to get ready for an early day at work.

Have a really happy and healthy Monday everyone.

 :) ;) ;D

Not much else to say from this 58 year old (but boy do I feel like I'm still 20, talk about sugar coating my life in my imagination).   I just don't look in any mirrors.  Ha Ha.  :-[
