And I just discovered that Frances McDormand's Jean Jacket now his it's own TWITTER ACCOUNT! ;D

I'm a fan of jean jackets & some can be rather dressy, maybe not Tony award dressy but still rather nice.  I'm not sure if the dress was improved or not by that jacket.  :o

I thought it was a joke -- you know, like it is silent in the theater for 2.5 hours.

One interesting tidbit about the show: It's still technically an "unauthorized" adaptation of the movie and original book.* And I'm still not sure how they're able to do it without some sort of court injunction coming down on them.

*I think.

I'm annoyed at my mail carrier.   As I mentioned I went to the doctor, so I was home in the early afternoon.  There was no mail at that time.    I went down to get my mail at about 5:30 and there was a slip showing I have a package to pick up (from Kritzerland, as a matter of fact).  The mailman/mailwoman obviously didn't even check to see if I were home--just assumed I wasn't, apparently.

How annoying.  Have you decided to look for a doctor closer to home?

I hope that doesn't happen!  Maybe I'd better go to one of the early shows.

And the word of the day is: ORISON!

I believe DR Druxy wrote a one-man play about him.

One does wonder if shayne will ever bother responding to emails or bother to do what he said he'd do, yes one wonders, but one is getting quite bored with wondering.

Dealng with CAMELOT drama.....oh well.....not unexpected.

Why would someone TURN DOWN a role in a show they auditioned for and said they would accept "another role" other than that they listed......do they think that increases their chances of being cast in a LARGER role next time?

My biggest complaint when I direct a show.  At the very beginning of auditions, I explain that I will not hold it againt them, if they are only interested in certain roles.  I beg them to tell me!  Still, they all say, "Oh I will take any role you offer Mr. CB.  Then they turn around and drop out because they weren't cast in the role that they wanted.  AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!

I think - "If they are just things, why did they spend $10 million in Dakota Dunes alone trying to protect them?"

I guess you can tell that we've had a LOT of foster kittens when it gets to the point we don't have names right away.

I expect we will have then named in a couple of days.

I have finished AS YOU LIKE IT and must agree with DR Elmore that it's not my favorite Shakespeare comedy.  Just as when I was taking a Shakespeare course in college, I would not have gotten through just reading - listening helped a great deal.  Forty years ago, I'd go to the listening lab in the library and use LPs and huge headsets.  Tonight, I used a 2-CD version and the Sennheiser earphones that I bought at Tekserve in NYC.

And...

Since I'm already feeling a bit sleepy after all of today's events - I got up at 8:30, was out the door at 9:15, then spent seven hours at Arena Stage practicing and prepping...

And since I also think I'm a bit sleep-deprived after the past couple of days...

And since I have one of those "tired headaches"...

Well..

Goodnight.
