Good Evening!

I made it through Day Two of rehearsal for Oklahoma! - The ReBoot, and...

So far, so good.

DR CILLALIZ - Sorry to read about your flooding woes. Hopefully, the rest of your clean up won't take too much longer, and that Mother Nature won't get in the way (again).

DR JRand - Glad to read that you solved your "Fie On Goodness" issue. -Did Tams-Witmark also send "Take Me To A Fair" in a separate packet? Or is that now included in the bundled materials?

DR JohnG - Someone at the movie theater should have been able to "rewind" the "Company with the New York Philharmonic" disc(?). -When the projector bulb blew at the screening I was at, they were able to go back a chapter(?).

*How long an intermission did they take? We only had a five minute one, but I think that was because the movie started almost 10 minutes late and the unplanned "intermission" when the bulb blew... And "Super 8" was supposed to start right after "Company" was done.

DR Ben - When you leave the NYU Dental Clinic, do they give you a choice of sugar-free lollipops? Or do you get to choose a toy from the "Treasure Chest"?

No intermission and the disc wasn't playing, so they skipped past where it stopped.

Just read some tweets and other reports about the death of a stagehand at the Al Hirshfeld Theater where the current revival of How To Succeed... is playing. Details are still sketchy at this point, but tonight's performance did end up being cancelled. Daniel Radcliffe and John Laroquette announced the tragic news to the audience.

Thanks Jose.  Compared to the people who have flooded houses, mine is nothing.  Still is a pain in the butt, but I think I just needed a night away from working on it

Alas, I'm a bit too tired to give a standing ovation right now...

Rehearsals have been going well, and I'm having a very good time - and the cast has been very welcoming - but, since we've been concentrating on the Dream Ballet, I've been playing a lot. And there's a lot of notes in that Dream Ballet. Lots!

And tomorrow, I need to get back to prepping my keyboard part for the first band rehearsal on Tuesday. -I'm really trying to make sure I have nothing(!) to do on Monday. I'm gonna need the day off since Tuesday will be a 13-hour day for me: rehearsal from 10-6, than orchestra from 7-11. And next Wednesday will be the same.

No DR JOSE I have never directed two plays at one time - and I have been rehearsing two plays at one time, I do that quite a bit....but directing....no.

And tonight the CHEAPER assistant director was in charge - so perhaps things are on track after all.

Tomorrow night we are doing the song LUSTY MONTH OF MAY....song and choreography, so it may be a long night.

DR JOSE  FIE & FAIR together were sent along in a separate music book for the piano....it had to be requested with the regular materials.  We also received ONE prompt book for each scene that features the song.....FAIR continues the MAY scene....FIE gives us a new Act Two Scene Three with the knights & Mordred and removes the old Scene Three that was the intro of Mordred and Morgan LeFey - who now appears only in the Scene Four.....in the Persuasion.

Dear JRand,
Has your theater ever performed "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee?"

Never - if you read Esther's letter about our "by God" language in THE MUSIC MAN, you realize why we couldn't do a show with a song titled "My Unfortunate Erection."

I must say however that like clockwork, the show was put forward each year by none other than my friend Ernie.

Dear JRand,
How many times have you been asked that question?

Too many.....and the year it was on Broadway, it was quite freaky to keep hearing "Putnam County" spoken from the stage at the Tony Awards!
