You make it sound like Julie Andrews had the option of staying with the Off-Broadway Putting It Together, which died a quick death in 1993. Victor/Victoria didn't make it to Broadway until more than two years later, if memory serves.

I was just trying to say that Sondheim is/was much better material for Julie than V/V was!

Good Evening!

It's been a long day, so...

Pre-show snack - Frappacinos at Starbucks. Steve just recently started going to Starbucks, so... He had the Double Chocolate Chip Blended Creme, and I had the Java Chip Frap (I needed the caffeine).

Show went very well tonight. A small, but very appreciative audience - and they even got all the jokes - even the subtles ones. ("What's for dinner?" "Strudel, pie and fritters..."). Steve loved the show.

Then it was over to the Carlyle Grand Cafe for a post-show dinner. I had the Barbecue Beef Back Ribs (they come with an incredible mustard-based barbecue sauce, and the most decadent mac 'n' cheese), and Steve had the Pecan Crusted Trout. Both dishes very good! And then we split the Flourless Chocolate Waffle - it always seems to taste better each time we get it - which is saying something!

OH! And I had a great cocktail called an "O, Susannah!" - Raspberry Stoli, fresh lemonade and a splash of Sprite. I'm going to have to make these by the pitcher!! Sooo good.

So, now we're winding down watching TV.... Stomachs very content...

And that's all for me for tonight...
