Good morning, all! Today we need the vibes because this day's two recording sessions will determine how we stand for the next two days: wew have too much music to record in too little time and today will determine our statuis for finishing up this week. I've been kicking and screaming for too long, but our financial man - to whom I would never offer financial, legal, or business advice since I know next to nothing - has no problems in making decisions about recording budgets and schedules without input from people who've worked in the territory for years. Both the record producer and I are concerned, but Judy says if all runs smoothly today, we're fine. Keep them vibes coming!
We don't begin until 3, so around 2pm I will walk down to the National Concert Hall and set up shop. Our sessions are 3-6, 7-10. Tomorrow, it's 4-7 and 8-11. Rehearsal went well yesterday, and the orchestra is really solid. I think our only tricky spots are the dialogue sections, since we've had too few rehearsalks and I've never had the cast together at the same time. Oy!
Last night, Judy and I had a yummilicious dinner at Hugo's, a wonderful restaurant around the corner from the hotel on Bidgood Street; we both had salmon on garlic potatoes with salad greens, a starter of crab ravioli and a glass of chardonnay. We quaked with fear and how great the cast is.
Okay, I'm signing off. I wish everyone a good day of happiness, success, and health!
