Well, you've read the notes, the notes were naked and reborn, and now it is time for you to post until the naked and reborn cows come home.

As for the Topic(s) of the Day...

I'll get back to you after my bus ride down to DC, rehearsal and nap. And probably some coffee too. Yes, I predict today will be a coffee day.

Tuesday morning greetings!  My DN/goddaughter Lauren and I have a date to have our nails done this morning, then I have some last minute shopping to do.  Looks like another beautiful - cool and sunny - day here in SW Ohio.

TOD: First movie: "Lady in the Tramp" when I was about six weeks old or so I'm told.
I started reading basic Dr. Seuss when I was 4. I think "Hop on Pop" was the first one read.
I wish I could remember what my first play was, maybe a church production of "Goodbye, Charlie" or "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" (without the songs).
I was never told that I didn't walk and talk at a normal age, whatever that is. So, I have nothing to add to that one.
First solid food: beets. And I still love them.

Such good news about TFNM Blue Rae.

And since the Easter Eggs are now part of the Extra Features, I will now say that I HATE EASTER EGGS on DVD's.....why do they make us LOOK for things?  Just put things where we can find them.....why go to the trouble to MAKE something and then have it unseen by a LOT of people who buy the damn thing?

But then I am just an armchair expert and consumer.

For some reason the Astaire & Rogers Collections - DVD, Volume one and volume two are on sale at Amazon for $14.09 and $15.99.....they were released at $60 each.....so I finally bought them so I would have ALL of those wonderful movies....on DVD not on Blue Rae.....but I own them!

Good morning, all! I have been awake for two hours but most of the time was spent on drafting a long email about the state of Toyland. Shortly, I'll take a trip down there to check on things and follow that up with a trip to the NYPL at Lincoln Center.

I think that's my day.

Most of Manhattan is back to normal but outlying areas, including New Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island, areas north of Manhattan, Staten Island and other parts of Queens and Brooklyn need more work to get up and running.

Our office is open and most people are in but some of the New Jersey and Westchester/Connecticut people still can't make it in.

Wedding funny for today:  Mary Linda's mother shopped in Michigan and Mary Linda's sister shopped in Colorado for dresses to wear to the rehearsal and dinner.  A thousand miles apart and they bought the same dress!

TOD:  I have no memory when I did any of those things BK asked about.  My first memory of going to see a movie in a theatre was SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARVES.

Actually, come to think of it, I can also remember in the fourth grade going, as a class, to downtown Cincinnati to see a theatrical production of BEAUTY & THE BEAST (at the Emery Theatre?).  This was, of course, long before Disney's version and this particular stage version owed a lot to Cocteau's film.  I remember it being very haunting.

We always went to the movies, because we were broke much of the time and it was cheap, and movies, were, after all, your best entertainment.

First play:  Age 6 or 7:   Puss and Boots at Phoenix Children's Theatre as part of a birthday party for a classmate.
