Speaking of Craig all of his flights today were early.  He should be landing soon.  Yogi is resting now so he can have lots of energy to great Craig with.

Do people in England say "me too" or do you cringe at the expression?

Oh thanks a lot, Jane, I say that all the time.

Me too...... I mean, so do I  ;D

DR Doug, I enjoyed your Istanbul posts! Thanks for posting.

Scenario from your NEXT trip:
Doug: click, click, click <typing away>.
Your companions: What's he typing? We can't go anywhere without him typing away at his computer/phone.
Doug: I must update all the DRs! They INSIST on knowing where I went and what I ate! They even want photos!
Your companions: DRs?? WHAT is he talking about?! Oy!!
A stranger: Excuse me, do you know Jose?

My sister has the same name as you - and has now recovered from her Istanbul stomach bug.

I'm very pleased to hear this.

The one advantage of the way the Seahawks are playing this season; the team is almost a lock for getting first choice in next year's NFL draft.

That means they are the worst team in the NFL.

Don't anyone panic!  The Seahawks are momentarily leading in the game against Arizona.

What an adorable baby!

Which one ;)  I think of the man coming home today vs that cute kid.  Oh yes, Echo was adorable and such a wonderful dog.  I always "complained" Keith & Craig forced me to get her.  She really was my baby.

I was going to say, "What an adorable baby; and the dog is also cute."  But I really thought that would be a bit much, even for me.

"SAUDI ARABIA: Reforms will allow women to vote but not drive"

I had already read that women will be allowed to vote which was a pleasant surprise.  The not being allowed to drive made me laugh.

Back from the Michelle Nicastro event - some of which was very touching.  Guy Haines was a no-show so I had to sing When You Wish Upon A Star - it went very well - I get really nervous in public these days when singing (except at the Kritzerland shows, where I feel completely at ease and comfy whether speaking or singing), but I got through it with no mishaps and got a very nice hand.  When they announced Guy, I got up and went to the stage and said I'd just gotten a text from him and that he was down on Olympic doing the triathlon - which he thought meant three blocks.  He was lying on the sidewalk and unable to get to Hollywood.

Awaiting the arrival of Barry Pearl - I'm sure he'll be no less than fifteen minutes late because someone else who's going with us was late in getting to his house.

I heard that Guy haines gave up tennis, because he found out it was a racket.

The Vixter found another nest of baby rabbits - 4 bunnies - in the lawn while she was mowing today --- baby bunnies in fall?  We thought that was a spring occurrence

I've put the dogs outside on the deck so they can see Craig come up the driveway.  Better Yogi is outside than inside so I don't have to listen to him cry & he will be happier out there.

DR Cillaliz - congratulations on your decision to get the mixer!  I've always wanted a KitchenAid, too.  We live a little over an hour away from the KitchenAid Experience Center - maybe I'll take a road trip soon!

Thanks Ginny!  I used my cheap Sunbeam mixer today.  I was amazed to see how much difference it made with the glass bowl I got at an auction instead of the metal one it came with, but the KitchenAid will be better.   I got my KitchenAid food processor with points from a different card.  I hate to admit I don't know how to use it.  I need to go online and find some instructions.

According to an AOL report, six Pan Am stewardess of years ago watched and loved the TV series based on their line of work.

Their one and only accuracy issue (a small issue) was the hair requirement that hair be above the jaw line.

I have a friend who was a  Stewardess around the same time, I think it was for Braniff.  She recently donated her uniform to the museum. I can't wait to see what she thinks of the show.  I've got it set to TIVO.

It's going to be on right after "Desperate Housewives," which I will also watch.

My cousin was a stewardess for Pan Am during the time that this series takes place.  I will be curious to hear her reactions.

Personally, I have no desire to watch the show.  Not to mention the fact that I will be fast asleep before the show airs.

The old navy commercial......to the tune of "I think we're alone now"   is "I'm wearing my new blouse".....one line is  'with or without jeans'
Oh my!   A blouse with no pants? And this is on prime time ;)

Right now, I'm watching and recording Great Performances' "Rigoletto from Mantua," with Placido Domingo.  This version was filmed in Mantua, Italy, in the places and at the times that are referenced in the opera.  So far, it's pretty darned cool!
