DR Ron Pulliam - As for procuring a cocotte à pommes Anna: e-Bay.

Found a new-in-box 8" Mauviel copper cocotte a pommes Anna.....at half the price of the other listings at other sites.  Merry Christmas, Ron.

I just received a call that my washer & dryer will be delivered this afternoon.  I hope I'm happy with them.

I hope so, too!

I just had lunch with Kevin. He's in town to see some theatre before he heads out to Chicago for the weekend.

We (Kevin, Anthony, me and two friends of Kevin) went to Good Stuff Diner and had a great time.

Twice this morning I have found posts in positions "other than" the position they had occupied on a previous visit.  DR Laura's "Thanks John" post at the bottom of page 2 was once the first post on page 3, for instance.

Someone is redacting.

Well, blu-ray.com has been down for hours which means getting work done is awfully difficult.

I know there are teeming masses waiting with baited breath for my reviews of LADY DEATH and MAHLER'S RESURRECTION SYMPHONY (a rather ironic pairing, now that I think about it).

I am still making my way through the complete Bach CD set I got last year.  The mind boggles.  I can barely notate a piece a year.  :)

I'm a little nervous about that tempered glass top, but time will tell.

Speaking of tempered glass, I was driving home from a gig the other night when the most appalling "thwack" hit my car.  I thought someone might have shot at me, so loud it was (what am I, Yoda all of a sudden?).  Checked the car thoroughly when I got home, not a sign of damage.  Well, waddaya know--two days later a spider web of cracks is appearing on my windshield.

There is evidently a humongous international DDoS attack going on with our host, hence no Blu-ray.com.

Also from Yesterday, from John G.:
Quote
Freak story from church. A woman who was in my Sunday school class a few years' ago went into the hospital for what everyone considered to be routine jaw surgery. Well, something happened and she ended up in ICU and now it appears that she's not going to make it. They're talking about having to remove life support.

I really enjoyed Joan in class. I was teaching Judges then, which is all about sex, drugs and violence. Very nihilistic stuff and most people don't know just how bleak the book is. She had read the book before but she had never bothered to stop and think about the gore, mutilation and misery. And she surprised herself by finding some glimmer of humor in all that blood.

~~~Vibes of All Kinds for Joan and her Family!!~~~
TOD:  Taters.  I usually opt for pasta when I want a starch, but I like me a really dark crisp french fry and lumpy mashed taters (with the skin still in 'em) .  I don't love baked potatoes as much as I once did, but when I have them they must be slathered in butter with pepper and  bacon bits never hurt.
Topic of the Day:
TOD
I'm just a country boy at heart. I like my potatoes mashed, home fries (cooked on a skillet with onions and peppers) and french fried
Ooo...those all sound good!  I also like steak fries, au gratin, baked (with lots o' toppings and the skin), German pancakes, latkes, etc.  Even instant mashed potatoes can be very good. ;D
I'm back at work after being gone Friday and yesterday (and have been for a few hours), but waiting for me were the soundtracks to "Summer and Smoke" and "The First Nudie Musical" and the new DVD release of "Lost Horizon" AND the American Premiere Recording of Children of Eden. :D
I also ordered the original cast recording to Death Takes a Holiday, which should get here by the end of the week.
DR GEORGE what part or parts are you playing in THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES?
I must have missed that post.
I will be playing the part of "Sound board operator"...actually, it's a computer program that I click when each sound is needed, so it's not an actual "sound board".  I won't be on stage for this one, but it's going to be a lot of fun. :)
