Property tax bills arrived yesterday.  Our residence "declined" in value by $700 but our rental (the old house) went up by $100.  Insane.

Betsy and I are both huge Agatha Christie fans.  I in fact have so many movie/tv adaptations of her work that we have a whole cabinet devoted just to Christie.

Yesterday I received an eBay LP of 101 Strings performing LOST HORIZON.  I need to determine if it's the same stuff as the MP3 album I downloaded off of Amazon the other day.  Despite my lack of technical expertise, I can definitively state the album is in stereo.

The Oregonian had a kind of funny photo this morning of a woman celebrating her 89th birthday by going to the grand opening of that Fred Meyer remodel I posted about the other day.  Such is the scintillating social calendar in Portland.

I've got someone coming tomorrrow to buy (I hope) my old plasma TV. I hope he's not too bothered about the superficial scratches on the screen, which I think DC Daisy did when she was trying to catch a fly.

Would the transfer from the UK be any different from the one that will be release in the US?

I'm sure the master used is the same regardless as to which territory it is sold in. I see that Adrian Turner has had a go about the Overture mess up on the Home Theater Forum.

No word from Curtis, which pisses me off. I've accomplished all I can do here so I'm heading back uptown.

DR Cillaliz - Your pics are great! I may have to borrow some since my new-ish camera seems to have a really strong flash. I'll see what Photoshop can do.

I can send you the full size or you can get them from my facebook page, let me know

Ok, Photo time.  First this one is for Ginny....can you guess the patterns  ;D

LOL - I love you guys for doing this!  Jose has Safari Sunset and Priscilla has Suzani.  I can't make out what Kevin is holding and the ship network won't let me enlarge the photo - I'll try when we get to Reims.

It's a box with a pen in it, so it's rather small

I forgot all about WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION.

Great movie!

Laughton steals the show.
I agree.

BK, if you direct a play of TEN LITTLE INDIANS do please turn it into a musical and change the title to TEN LITTLE EASTERN INDIANS: GUMNAAM PART 2.

I will cast it for you.

I can't imagine it would.  Everything, save for maybe some subs or dubs would be exactly the same.

My cousins are in from Scranton.  One of them is doing his stand-up routine at a comedy club.

Good morning, all! I'm happy to hear that a good time was had at FOLLIES and that everyone's having a great trip to Chicago. I've got the laundry in the washers, and when it'sfinished, i am off to check on Toyland and see if Curtis and I via long distance telephone can get things working again.

I've essentially finished the preliminary work on THE RED MILL, so I can now begin the same process for ROBERTA. I also have to write these new charts for the Appalachian piece, since we start rehearsals a wqeek from Monday. That's my weekend.

A week from Monday!  Wow, that is getting exciting.  I wish I could see the production in November, but I guess I will have to wait for Broadway.

Good Afternoon!

Greetings from O'Hare! My flight will be leaving in about 15 minutes. I hope. Just a slight delay due to a late arrival/turn around.

And once I'm back in NYC, the following 48 hours will be crazy(!!!).
-Consolidating the last bit of stuff from my small storage unit to my larger one.
-A coaching with one of the actors in BOYS FROM SYRACUSE.
-Brunch with a friend.
-London Symphony Orchestra concert.
-Amanda McBroom and Michelle Brourman at The Metropolitan Room.
-Some sleep.
-Bus ride down to DC.
-Final pre-production meeting for BOYS.

I loved the period of time that I lived in Portland.  What a great city.  I worked in a shooping center in (I think) SE Portland called Mall 206.
