Today is supposed to be very mild. It is supposed to be over 60F. Yeah, a bike ride!

Speaking of visiting Mom, I watched last week's AMERICAN HORROR STORY yesterday afternoon.  If Zachary Quinto wasn't out before, he sure is now.  :)  (Yes, I know he's out--that's a joke).

Today is Wednesday, November 2, 2011.

Today, Occupy Oakland has called for a citywide strike appealing to everyone to stay away from work and/or school.

I am at work.

Sue me.

Sorry for the news DR TCB.....but hopefully at least the pain injections will work.

DR MBARNUM - I am seriously considering ordering the Science Fiction Dance CD.....most entertaining.  Did your DVD of the Invasion of the Planet of Women work on your system?

Oddly enough, I have not yet watched this one....but I looked at the title on the disc several times.

TOD: Where on the Kritzerland.com home page will we be able to find Peter Filichia's column on Fridays? (I ask because I can look right at something on a website and not see the button I'm supposed to select. I have the same affliction when driving down one-way streets while looking for something that's also supposedly in view. )

ASK BK #1

I being reading the West Side Story threads on HTF and getting a good chuckle with most of the comments that are coming. But there is one word that keeps cropping up.

Can you explain what moire is?

ASK BK #2

I asked this last week and I did not see an answer.

ASK BK

Is it necessary these days to have this blurb (or any variations) before a movie starts on DVD or Blu Ray? Some movies with just the movie with no extras, no commentaries also have it.

THE FOLLOWING INTERVIEWS AND COMMENTARIES ARE FOR ENTERTAINMENT ONLY. THE VIEW AND OPINIONS EXPRESSED THEREIN ARE THOSE OF THE INDIVIDUAL SPEAKERS AND NOT NOT NECESSARYILY REPRESENT THE VIEWS AND OPINIONS OF __________(Fill in the company name) OR ANY OF THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILTES OR EMPLOYEES.

Is this to protect from a law suit of some kind?

And this makes

9,000

See JMK's answer about moire - in WSS it's the skyscrapers in the aerial shots, chain link fences, etc.

They put the disclaimer on because they don't want to be responsible for any outsider or insider comments that may be deemed libelous or slanderous or anything at all.  The disclaimer simply protects them from having any comments made by anyone associated from the company issuing the disc.

When you go to kritzerland.com there is a menu bar under "Kritzerland" - on that menu bar will be Filichia on Friday.

I'm up after one of the most annoying nights of non-sleep EVER.  So frustrating.  I was in bed before midnight and could not fall asleep.  Oh, I'm sure that somewhere along the way I got three hours maybe but I really needed a good night's sleep and the first thing to be problematic when I don't is, of course, my voice.  Damn them, damn them all to hell.  I'll have to take it very easy today, vocally, and hope for the best.  I'm not going to fret about it, it will be what it will be, but it would be a damn sight better had I slept.

I watched the first two episodes of AHS.  I think it's as badly written as GLEE (same producer), but I like the character played by Jessica Lange.  She is this show's Sue Sylvester.

I'm actually kind of enjoying AHS but I doubt it has the ability to sustain its conceit.

IMO, American Horror Story is truly a "horror."

But it has its good points....and a fan base, apparently.

Count me out, though.

I guess I better check this out before it gets cancelled.

Not to worry.  It's already been renewed for a 2nd season.

Back from the four-mile jog.  Will go see if there are any packages in a little while.  Meanwhile, what is this page two?
