On the way back home after having drinks with ex work colleagues, I bought a braised steak and mashed potatoes meal which I heated and ate...but I'm still hungry. Looking at the package, the meal was only 385 calories. I had a couple of Weetabix for breakfast and a smallish BLT sandwich for lunch. No wonder I'm still hungry.....I haven't had anywhere near my recommended daily amount of calories. I must raid the fridge and fry a couple of eggs or something.

I am back from shopping for my Mother, delivering said shopping, taking her for MORE shopping, having lunch with her, and getting her settled in with all her purchases.  When I got home I took a 2-hour nap...

If anyone gets FLIXe the movie STREET SMART will be on at 12am. I can be seen ever so briefly in the ice cream scene with Christopher Reeves and Kathy Baker. Although it takes place in NYC alot of it was filmed in Montreal in 1987. Mr. Reeves was one of the nicest people I ever had the opportunity to meet and work with

My two favorite new TV shows:  "Once Upon A Time" and "Grimm".

Those are mine, too, DR Ron Pulliam!

I do like AMERICAN HORROR STORY. I keep forgetting to watch it. I'll buy it on DVD.

Just read Robert Harris review of My Fair Lady. He worked on its original restoration, but he is disappointed with the Blu Ray release, This is another disappointed of a major film classic and Academy Award Winner for Best Picture. First there was West Side Story and now My Fair Lady. These were two films I was looking forward to getting, but now I will forgo  getting them.

I'm also disappointed that the re-relase of West Side Story to theaters next week will be reformatted. I will like to know what that means.

I am back from a very good rehearsal; the singing is really fine. I worry that all hell will break loose when they have to pick up their guitars, bass, and fiddle, but things are going nicely so far.

More writing tonight: cleanup work on the opening sequence and another early morning trip to the photocopier!

I watched WATER FOR ELEPHANTS last night.

I enjoyed it.

Makes me think it might be fun to have my own pet elephant.

 ::)

Naw!

Too much shoveling.

 ;)

OK, but kind of 'meh' IMHO.

Thank you for sharing your interesting review.  I thought the book was terrific but decided to pass on the movie.

Zach completely cracked us up with this comment:

If they make a documentary about Morgan Freeman, who's going to narrate it?  :)

Today is Wednesday, November 2, 2011.

Today, Occupy Oakland has called for a citywide strike appealing to everyone to stay away from work and/or school.

I am at work.

Sue me.

DR Michael S - I know that you trust the "authorities" and their opinions, but couldn't you rent the Blu-Ray discs of "West Side Story" and "My Fair Lady" to see for yourself just how bad and "disappointing" they are to you? And then decide if you'd like to buy - or not buy - a copy for yourself? Yes, the Blu-Ray transfers may not be "ideal", but there's probably something about them that may make them a worthwhile investment.

Larry, I just opened the poster for the show. It's beautiful!

I wish I could see the show.

I'll be in the midst of deadline hell next week (actually, I'm in the midst of deadline hell this week, too!).

I think I have decided to direct The Curious Savage instead of Clue The Musical.....but I shall listen to some of the music one more time.

Today when my sister Molly visited, she found a Monarch butterfly (I think it is a Monarch) on the sidewalk out front.

It could not fly.  She picked it up, and it decided it wanted to rest on her ear for quite sometime.

We fed him some sugar water, which he enjoyed very much.

I only got one photo with his wings open.....he is now living at Molly's house in a nice net covered box.  And if he starts to fly again - and it isn't too cold or wet.....he can go back outside.

Although we are probably breaking the law somehow.  ;D
