JRand, let me know if THE BLACK ZOO is worth buying....I saw Rod Lauren just the other night on KRAFT SUSPENSE THEATRE playing Scott Marlowe's brother...Diane McBain was also in the mix.

I wonder how fond Herman Cohen was of Rod Lauren? Inquiring minds and all.

DR DOUG R - Will you be imbibing some sidra while in Bilbao?

I don't think so. Beer and wine are my drinks.

In the lounge now. Should be boarding soon.

I am sure Mr Cohen was very clear to Mr Lauren about who was the captain of the ship.

Not yet 10 here and 2 reviews completed.  Despite pneumonia which unfortunately shows no signs of abating after four (count 'em) days on antibiotics.  And I have a gig tonight.  Oy.

DR DRUXY - Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby was written by Anthony Wilson with characters created by Ira Levin.

It was pretty creepy and Ruth Gordon recreated her role as Minnie - I watched it, but don't remember much about it - even after reading the synopsis at IMDB.

I read Levin's sequel after MR BK wrote about it here awhile back, and it's okay.  The original is so perfect, I don't think we really needed to know anything else.

Yes, there's not mail tomorrow.  No work tomorrow.   And, SIGH, no "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II" Blu-ray disc delivery....until Monday.  Got my shipping notice last night with a delivery date of tomorrow.  Ha Ha.

Is there a chance that "HP&TDH2" will be coming via UPS or FedEx?

Yes, but the building will be locked up.  I have my deliveries of that kind shipped to my office.

Speaking of a Fresh Hell:

My dental appointment was for two hours.   It lasted three hours and only ONE (count it, ONE!) tooth got prepped.

I blame Jose.  I do.

Had Jose not stupefied much of California upon his arrival, my dentist would not have run out of gas on her way to work, my dentist and I would not have been giggling like loons over an experience I had in her waiting room, thus lending the slightest possibility that one crown prep would have taken two hours instead of three.

Sigh.   I wondered out loud if two hours was enough time when the appointment was made and was assured it should be.   Ha.  Ha Ha.

So...another appointment next week for the other crown prep.   And then a double-coronation on December 7.

Re:  The laughing-like-loons bit.

I arrived early, as is my practice, and entered the waiting room.  Just inside the door leading to the receptionist and all the dental rooms, a tall young man wearing an odd winter cap with ear flaps was talking freely about the trouble he had been having with his tooth and I figured someone out of my sight was the recipient of that description.

I sat down.  I immediately became aware that he had migrated out of the office area back into the waiting room...and that he had not been talking to anyone.

I became his audience.

I was informed of many things.  He is articulate, intelligent and slightly odd.  I thought perhaps he might be autisitic, but was later told he was simply "a bit off."

The things I learned:

He wants a family and a home and he wants people to know that he can live an independent life.  He wishes everyone would believe him.

He lost his virginity at age 18.  He's not a virgin any more but he has been celibate for three years.  He wishes he hadn't lost his virginity because he considers the young woman with whom he had coitus (if I may borrow a bit of dialogue from "The Big Bang Theory") to be untraceable and he worries if she wondered where he was or if she had married or if she has been traumatized by the experience.

I then learned that Northern California attracts an odd lot of people, some of whom are into hemp production.  He then bluntly said, "Marijuana!"  To which he added, "Marijuana is fine for some people who need it for stress release or pain control.  The trouble with marijuana is that people who use it make friends with people they wouldn't ordinarily be friends with."

Happily, one of the staff arrived and he was off and running about his tooth again.

My take is that I had best get with the 21st century, before I get left behind! LOL!

Once I get used to downloading music, and having a safe place to store it so that it doesn't get lost, it will certainly save me money....seems it is much cheaper to download albums then it is to buy the actual cd....but I just haven't gotten there yet.

Three hours in the dental chair truly is HELL.

We did have at least one laugh break.  But, truly, I spent two long hours a couple of weeks ago during the sinus lift.  It was very tiring and wearing on my nerves.   I was ready to go when it was over, that is for sure.

Our Big Lots has been closed for a couple of months  >:(

but they have now reopened (today)) in their new location...it is in the building that used to house the Albertson's Supermarket...so  this is going to be a mega sized Big Lots....which makes me very happy!

I shall be going there this evening.

Thanks for the vibes DR Laura and DR Ginny.

My appointment was very brief.  The doctor determined that my hand injury from my fall was probably a contusion and that since the pain is lessening, there's no need for an x-ray at this time.
