Well, you've read the notes, the notes ran as fast as they could, and now it is time for you to post until the running cows come home.

Topic of the Day:  Lasagna.  My recipe is to use the recipe on the noodles package or the ricotta cheese container...and I do NOT use cottage cheese like my sister used to.  Then, I just double everything except the noodles. :)

I'm wondering what kind of camera DR Doug has--those photos are spectacular!

I was also wondering about the camera.

DR KevinH and DRJane: I didn't use anything special. I usually use my Fuji FinePix F200 but I left the battery in the charger at home so I had to use my little Toshiba Camileo S30 camcorder, which also takes still pictures, although the pictures would have been better (especially at large size) if I'd been able to use the Fuji.

DR Doug R - thank you for the photos of your visit to Barcelona. My sister's genealogy research has recently revealed to us that we have a first cousin in Spain.
And I meant to tell you that my husband had a similar experience in Reims to the one you described the other day. Our first morning there he left our hotel in search of someplace to get a carry-out breakfast for us and got lost. He was not properly oriented when he left the hotel and he found that the streets change names from block to block. He finally stumbled onto a visitors' center near the cathedral and they gave him a handy dandy map. He made the same comment you did about the city being smaller than he thought.

DR Ginny: Yes, it's easy to get disorientated when arriving somewhere new and unfamiliar. One of worst times for me in getting lost was in Belgrade, Serbia where street signs are in the Cyrillic script and although I had a map, it wasn't much use because the map had street names in our familiar Latin alphabet :)

I've just received the UK Eureka 'Masters of Cinema' Blu-ray of TOUCH OF EVIL. I've always liked the film - long before it became newly "discovered". This set provides five variants of the film; the original version, the preview version and the 1998 reconstruction, in full frame and widescreen versions (the preview is only the widescreen version). It also has an excellent 56 page booklet. The highly detailed, heavily contrasted black and white photography looks wonderful. I like the reconstructed version apart from the fact that it omits Henry Mancini's title music, which I think does add a lot to the opening, even if it wasn't what Orson Welles intended.

TAR was okay last night.....very nice scenery......and results were okay.  BUT I think the winning team has now made tactical errors in TWO legs of the race.

A month or so ago I found that iTunes was not accepting CD album artwork when I copied and pasted it into the info box. I'd never had any problem doing that before. I asked iTunes support who emailed to say I should uninstall iTunes, install latest Windows updates and reinstall iTunes and that all my saved CDs would remain in place. I did all that and although I had concerns that all my CDs would end up being deleted, they were still there when I reinstalled. However, I still can't add new artwork. Looking at iTunes discussions forums it seems that quite a lot of people have the same problem but no-one seems to have a solution - niether apparently does iTunes.
