Busy day. Doctor's first thing and then work and then more work followed by work. I hope I get some work done.

You aren't going to work today?
I did work. And I went to work. Today was one of those days where those two things didn't overlap much. And that's a good thing.

Can somebody tell me why, when you order a vegetable dish at a Thai/Asian restaurant, they list everything in it but tofu and then they proceed to put more tofu in the dish than anything else? I don't need to eat grout. I don't need to grout anything either. Why would they give me grout cubes?

End of rant.

I'm having fun on facebook chatting with my first boyfriend.  He remembers me as his first crush.  Is that sweet or what.  I didn't think he would remember me & Craig said who forgets something like that.

Craig is right!

;)

:)

He emailed me too. :)  Funny in high school I didn't know my friend was his cousin.

I just confirmed we're victims of credit card fraud.  Luckily it's an old MC number we don't use anymore, but I've spent the past half hour sorting it all out.  I must say I received exceptional customer service all around.

While upsetting I'm glad it wasn't serious.

If it tastes like grout they aren't making it properly. ;D

If you ordered a vegetable dish it shouldn't have tofu unless you request it.  Are you sure you didn't order a vegie & tofu dish by mistake?

Nope just re-read the takeout menu: Pa Nang Puk, Mixed vegetables sauteed in spicy Pa Nany curry sauce and coconut milk.

Also when is pineapple a vegetable?

The flavor of everything is good. I just loathe the texture of tofu.

Hey, this place also has Peking Imitation Duck, made from tofu. Sounds, well, horrible. Like tofurkey.

Tofurkey is pretty horrible in my opinion. DR John do you also loathe the texture of fried tofu?

Got "Michael Clayton" on the background and am reminded all over again how great Tilda Swinton was in this movie. Even when you know the twists of the plot, she is magnetizing.

It's a little two squishy, but I did like it back when I ate rice and would get those tofu packets at the sushi bar.

I remember watching this in the theater (and liking it) but all I could think about was how obvious the eye-liner on George Clooney was. :-\

Tofu can be quite yummilicious if prepared well.  And so can Tofurkey.  :)

We have a favorite Thai restaurant here in Portland that prepares a special Tofu Pineapple Fried Rice just for me when we visit.

And speaking of work, I am now officially retiring from the State effective 12/30/2011.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!  Will your medical insurance continue as part of your retirement?

Oh yes, at $600.00 a month until I am approved for SSA-Disability

VIBES IT IS ALL ENOUGH UNTIL SSA KICKS IN!!!!

The lump sum that I will receive is more than enough to keep me comfortable until SSA Disability or otherwise starts.  Most of the lump sum will be rolled over and invested to give me a monthly stipend.  However, the amount that I plan to cash out, after paying income tax, will pay off any and all debts that I owe as well as paying my rent for the next year and all the utilities, plus food for Nicky (and maybe for me).

This is great TCB! Congrats!

And what is the title of this outre two'fer, DR JMK?

And by the way, I discovered this cool musician named Edmundo Rios. You should check him out.
