After brunch with my friends, I had them drop me off at The Americana which is the big outdoor mall here. Well, after walking around there for a while I headed across the street to the Galleria, a.k.a. The Indoor Mall. It was quite packed.

I walked around there for a while, and then ended up in Target. I bought some socks, flannel sleep pants, gloves and a fleece jacket. Frankly, I'm still sort of troubled that I had to buy some "Winter" clothes in "sunny, Southern California". ::)

Good Afternoon!

Well... It's still raining in Glendale.

When does the nice weather start?

Good Afternoon!

Well... It's still raining in Glendale.

When does the nice weather start?

It's supposed to clear up tomorrow, and then start warming up on Thanksgiving day. I'm fact, the forecast for next weeks is sunny and in the 70s.

I like Brad Oscar. :D

I adore Brad too, as well as his partner, Diego. In fact, Brad and Diego met when we were all working on DAMN YANKEES at Arena Stage.

The situation with the Chitty signed booklets is baffling to me.  I gave them to the helper in strict order with the EXCEPTION of anyone from this site who ordered.  Because I hadn't gotten the notice up in advance as I always do, I said everyone here would get one.  I asked her if she'd reorganized by time and she said no, but nothing else makes sense, because I personally moved the orders from regulars into the first 100 and since we actually had 150 signed I just don't get what happened.  However, Jrand and Matthew will get theirs (George already got his) because we had five left over.

Hi everyone....

I need to ask a favor of all of you...

My friend Kyle Underhill was found murdered yesterday in a marsh. He didn't deserve to go out like that... my friends and I are pretty torn up about it happening, and we were hoping that you could keep his name in your prayers. Thank you so much guys...

So sorry to hear that.

Just read the news about the passing of the British actor, John Neville. I still remember seeing him in Ibsen's GHOSTS with Liv Ullman and Kevin Spacey at the Kennedy Center back in the early 80's.

And the episode of "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations" I'm currently watching is showing workers in Dubai blowing off some steam with some informal wrestling matches.

Can you drive using a cell phone in Ohio or do you need a hands free device?

Since I do use my cell phone from time to time while driving, I'm glad to see this info:

Cell Phone and Texting Laws

Thank you.  Bryan called from his cell while driving through Ohio on his way to an interview in Pittsburgh.  The reception was so bad he switched to holding the phone & said he wouldn't get a ticket.  I guess he was right.  I'm surprised how many states don't have a ban.  I find using a bluetooth more complicated & distracting than holding my cell while driving.

Really?

The bluetooth is always falling off & doesn't always work well.  I have had multiple styles & they have all been annoying enough that I eventually stop using them.  I try to remember to take it when I'll be on the freeway & can't pull over to use the phone.

Oh, okay, I have never tried using one of those.  I have a Bluetooth built into my car above my rearview mirror.  That is the only Bluetooth I know about.

Next car I want a built in bluetooth or new improved technology.

Why does anyone have such a disdain for a person they constantly seek them out? I would want to avoid someone I disliked that much.  Sadly I know a couple of people with "fans" like this.

Saw on CNN they arrested a person for terrorism  in NYC. I'm glad that they caught this guy before he was able to carry out his plot.

But I don't understand why in the new conference they explain how they got him and what he did to get caught.

This just tells people what not to do to get caught in planning terrorism in the future.

I have asked before what the problem is and I've never been given a real answer.  I'm sure I posted something somewhere that rubbed her the wrong way, but for that to cause this years-long wackiness is really odd to me.   I'm hoping it's at an end, but we'll just have to see.

I suppose I shall now be on my way to Vitello's even though I would rather not be going anywhere this evening.  I shall be out of there lightning fast as soon as the show is over.

I went to Staples to see what the Kindles are like and compare the to the Nook, Staples sells both of them. Unfortunately they only have demos and none are "practical" ones that you can try them.

I decided to go with a Color Nook and bought mine today at B & N. I looked over the touch before deciding on the Color.

I have 14 days to see if it is the right e-reader for me.

I would have like to have had the opportunity to have tried a practical Kindle.

DR Michael S - You could always order a Kindle, then return it if you don't like it.
