An opera mic (don't know why they call it that) is just a mic that hangs overhead and picks up a wide distance of sound.

I'm up - I was up at five worrying about whether something had been sent (it had) and I didn't get back to sleep until about six so not enough sleep and I'm VERY stuffed up right how, which I hope clears up soon.

I didn't realize until I read the program bios that Lewis, the composer, was Doug's life partner. He was living with a costumer during his Drama Book Shop days. I met Lewis last night. He's very talented.

And now I need to get the rest of my day in order. I'll be heading to LA's Union Station after rehearsal tonight to take Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner down to San Diego so that I can spend tomorrow with my brother, Jay, and his wife and her family. I also have a few more tweaks to my "Lost and Unsung" book to take care of. So time for some organizing and packing and Finale-ing.
