I woke up in the middle of the night with a headache, so I turned on hulu.com and watched Paula Dean deep-fry a ham. I could feel my arteries harden just watching.

There are reports that it is snowing in north Scottsdale. I live in south Scottsdale, so no snow here.

Does anyone remember Mrs Columbo?  I recall that show being pretty much a stinker.
It was dreadful.

Good to see you back, DtM.

I, on the other hand, am up.  It is currently sixty-two degrees in the home environment - heat has been turned on.

I like the episode where the killer got away with it.

Janet Leigh and John Payne were the guest stars. There were clips from (I think) Walking My Baby Back Home (or was that the song they were using?)
You have a much better memory than me. It was Janet Leigh, but Ida Lupino did another episode of the show, I'm sure.

In any case... I had a very good time last, and J. Lo, Selena and Lady Gaga really put on a good show. ;)

As for the Topic of the Day...

The only ones I remember are the ones with Roberta Peters - I think it was the first time I heard "Sempre libera". And the one with the film score conductor/composer. I think it was a special movie of the week.

This has been a weird Time Warner day and I may end up E&T this week.  Two weeks ago a young man from Time Warner called me and told me that my account was in trouble, and I expaned to him that I'd been looking for my statement to pay them but I couldn't find one and I wasn't sure that I'd received any from the post office. Could he send me a copy. So on Tuesday, Nov 29, I received a statement, I made out a check for two months totalling around $329+ and dsropped it in the post box and 82nd and Amsterdam.

Today, around 11:45am, Time Warner turned off my service. The statement said nothing about payment being in their hands by Dec 5, because I would have walked up the street and paid their account center or called them and given them a credit card number. The young lady in accounting was very sweet, took all of my information and turned on the service. If they don't receive my check by Wednesday, they're shutting me down again. And congress is letting the postal service worsen. It's ridiculous.

Color me really pissed.

So, someone put a box of nativity leftovers in my office. I don't remember these guys in the story: The Baker, The Piper, and The Milliner.

My New Favorite Martin-Blane Song  I did this at the benefit for the Oregon Food Bank on Saturday night and I can't get it out of my head.  :)

Maybe the one in the middle looks like the Lady Gaga that Jose saw Saturday.

Just back from having had lunch with a few friends. I had parsnip soup followed by hot roast pork with salad in a small baguette plus several beers.
