Thanks Ginny, I never really left, just got busy.  I have a ton of work to do over the next 4 days, mostly research and writing an appeal brief.  I filed a petition at the 8th circuit right before Christmas in another case and am getting ready for a 1st degree arson trial on the 10th of January.  Plus the family stuff and all my other work.  It's just been crazy.

Well, they stayed there last night, but it's not all back together and it hasn't all been cleaned yet.  Mom's memory was beyond bad over Christmas.  I'm hoping once she's been home and got some rest and gets settled back into the house she'll improve.  It was very hard to see her not remembering things for even 5 minutes. It was tough.  She already sounds better on the phone though.

Tomorrow is my final day at work.  Well, it will be more like my last half-day at work.  I have a medical appointment at 9:30, and I have to leave for lunch no later than 12:40.

I hope you have a fantastic day!
Hope it's a great one.

I forgot what that feels like.

Listening to Tony Bennett's latest Duets album. I'm liking a lot of it. Not Amy Winehouse. Hadn't heard her before. Guess it's an acquired taste.

But now to listen to Rebecca Luker.

In any case...

One show tomorrow night, then off for New Year's but then a matinee on New Year's Day. -And then we're off until Wednesday night. I may try to head back up to DC on the 2nd & 3rd.

As for the Topic of the Day...

I'd have to say the best thing to happen to me in 2011 was being able to spend some - for lack of a better phrase - quality time with my brothers as well as with some close friends who became even closer. As I've started to review exactly what I've done and went through the past year - especially the past nine months, I know that's there's no way I could have made it through relatively unscathed without their support. -To think that back in the middle of February was when my landlord at the time informed me that she was selling the building and that we had 30 days to vacate, well... Wow!

I've always had the fortunate "tendency" to land on my feet. This was the year where I know I could not have done so without the support and kindness of my friends and family.

And since my latest tendency has been to not get out of bed until 11:00am...

Goodnight.

Wonderful!  Both of them.

I agree!  And Rebecca Luker sounds wonderful singing them!

I'm watching (and burning to DVD...Jose, what's your current address??) the Kennedy Center Honors and am really enjoying the live performances.  I'm not concerned about what they should've done or what they did wrong, but just enjoying the performances that they offered. :)
