Did someone say they needed a copy of last week's Kennedy Center Honors broadcast?

Although at this point, all I really need to track down is the performing part of the Yo-Yo Ma tribute. I also think DR George may have recorded it for me too.

If DR George hasn't burned or mailed it yet, I can send.

I'm going to make a master copy tonight.  PM me whatever address you want me to send it to.

Sorry, Ginny, for my enthusiasm.

No problem, DR TCB, Oregon was awesome!

Um, one problem--I recorded it in standard TV, not HD.  If DR George recorded in HD, you might prefer his copy (and I'm being presumptious since I can't speak for DR George...)

The only productive things I've done today were 1) a cardio walk around the basement, 2) Richard's favorite chicken and rice for dinner, and 3) running and unloading the dishwasher.  Why am I so tired?

'night!

In all honesty, the whole standard vs. HD doesn't make a difference to me.

And I also found that someone uploaded the complete Yo-Yo Ma tribute to YouTube... Wow, that was beautiful! And, yes, it made me cry.

What I hated about the US verision was the opening credits.  I thought it was loud awful and had nothing to do with the movie.  I actually thought they had started the movie then switched and put the wrong movie in and then switched back.
I completely agree. The credit scenes were some sort of sadist's latex fantasy gone wrong.

Oh...

It turns out that my father needs to head up to Fairfax tomorrow too to drop off some paperwork, so I'll be able to head up with him. He'll drop me off at my brother's place, I'll get my stuff organized there, and then we'll all probably have dinner up there before we head back down to Richmond tomorrow night. I like it when things work out that way.

In other news...

I think I had too much coffee/tea/caffeine today. Thankfully, my stomach is not bothering me, but I've been feeling the "caffeine drop" for the past few hours. I think I'll take advantage of that and start to get ready for bed - which is a good thing since I have to be up early tomorrow to head up to Fairfax with my parents.

So...

Goodnight.

I went to see "My Week with Marilyn" today. Thoroughly enjoyed it, though the script was a little soft. Just great performances all around. And if you enjoyed the casting of "Downton Abbey," then you'll have fun with the appearances of all these great British actors, including Michael Kitchen, Dominic Cooper, Emma Watson, Judi Dench and even the guy who plays the head of the staff on "Downton Abbey."

They also showed 4-5 trailers before the movie.

All look like big budget productions, but there was not one of them that I would care to see.  Not even on DVD.

And, I used to love going to the movies.

 :(

It's not so bad when it's free.  I'm trying to win a free pass again so I'm going to quite a few now.

Well, I think I've passed the kidney stone. So, that's my progress for the day.

I had horrible kidney stones two years ago, John, and know the agony.  I actually had to be ambulanced to the ER in the middle of the night.  It was hideous.

I think it's all the political ads and calls.  I've had 12 calls today, I let them all go to voicemail and the ads are nonstop.   Wednesday can't come soon enough.   You know it's bad when the gingivitis commercial is a welcome relief

I've gotten used to not answering and unless you kept the tv off from about September until Wednesday, you can't avoid the ads.  If they had taken the millions and millions and millions they spent attacking each other on tv and given it to something useful maybe it would have made a difference

DR Laura, I'd unplug the phone, but my parents always call on the house phone and not the cell phone, so I don't want to unplug

If the suspect is indeed the guilty party I hope they throw him in jail and throw away the key.  I don't care what kind of tiff he's having with the immigration department, he has started the year off on a very bad foot for a lot of people, and he has no right to do that because he's not happy with some department.  He hurt innocent people who have never done him a bad turn.  What a JERK.
