I think you're talking about my helper, Heather Barr - she's got long dark hair and eyes.

She's very cute.  She "pops" in that number!

If it's who you mean, she appears in the next episode in a featured part.

Hello everyone.

I hope everyone had a wonderful new year. I have lots and lots of posts to catch up on, but I want to congratulate Bruce for his two wins. (He was even competing against himself!)

Not sure when I will be able to post again, there is at least two more weeks of of being without my laptop.

All the best until then

After listening again to the national media say how little we know in Iowa etc.....this really cracked me up.  It's the Iowa Film Makers response to the National Media.   Here's the original version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLZZ6JD0g9Y&feature=context&context=C34d2e3bADOEgsToPDskLIzcttxnekieViwwKt10_e

and here's the clean version, although they missed on bleep...

Fabulous finish to the Outback Bowl - Michigan State 33, Georgia 30 in triple overtime!

Damn, I knew I just have stayed with the Outback Bowl.

Poor Rex is back at the vet, under sedation, to see if he can figure out why Rex is not doing well.

Prayers for poor DC Rex.

They've put him under general anesthesia now instead of just sedation.

YouTube notified me at twenty minutes after midnight that the new Outside the Box was posted; and then at 1:00 p.m. it notifed me again.

Dinner:  Leftover pizza with double-garlic smoked kielbasa (and a glass of leftover merlot.)

What I hated about the US verision was the opening credits.  I thought it was loud awful and had nothing to do with the movie.  I actually thought they had started the movie then switched and put the wrong movie in and then switched back.

I agree.  They were a turn-off.

This is why I don't enjoy going to movie theaters any more:

Somebody brought in their kid, and it whimpered and cried through the first half hour of the film.

They also showed 4-5 trailers before the movie.

All look like big budget productions, but there was not one of them that I would care to see.  Not even on DVD.

And, I used to love going to the movies.

Good Evening!

It was a good afternoon for a glass of a nice Pinot Noir from the Loire Valley. -And a burger & frites... And some incredibly tasty homemade mayonnaise. :)

Did someone say they needed a copy of last week's Kennedy Center Honors broadcast?

<raises hand>

Although at this point, all I really need to track down is the performing part of the Yo-Yo Ma tribute. I also think DR George may have recorded it for me too.

We had a wonderful visit with Larry. We had hot chocolate, gingerbread cookies, fresh strawberries and smoked gouda with crackers. It was a great afternoon! Thanks, Lar.

Well, the long weekend is just about over.   I met friends for dinner at the Macaroni Grill, which I believe is a chain, though I'm not sure where else they're located.

Fantastic Rose Bowl Game, though Betsy and her Wisconsin friends are a bit dismayed at the outcome.  Weirdest ever ending to a football game.

Yes, it was a very weird ending to the Rose Bowl, DR JMK.  The Big Ten, except for Michigan State, has been pretty pitiful in the post-season.  Maybe Michigan can bring home some Sugar tomorrow:

Well...

I don't think you have to be or have been a stage manager to appreciate(?) this:
