For DR Cillaliz or any DR who has seen THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO

How violent is this version?  I've seen the Swedish version and read the books. But I am curious since it is for 13+ in US how violent this version is especially compared to the Swedish version (which i liked but found much violence).

The violence level is comparable to the Swedish version. There are some very disturbing images of the victims of the serial killer and of the cat (too many of the cat). It's impossible to make the rape of Lisbeth anything but disturbing and her revenge is less graphic than the Swedish version without losing any of its impact.

My wife and I were going to see this today, but if an animal gets killed (the cat?), perhaps we'll pass.

Should we pass?

It's a fake cat. But it's disturbing nonetheless.

I didn't think they'd kill a real cat.

But, since I lost my cat a month or so ago....

Where do I get this stuff Department:  I was sorting through my music closet last night and found all sorts of scores I have absolutely no memory of ever having obtained.  I somehow ended up with the complete score (in what looks like the original autograph) of PROMENADE.  How weird is that?  Why do I have these things?

This is the year I start clearing out the attic. I've got loads of copies of decades old weekly Variety there. Perhaps I can sell them - or maybe they're worthless.

Oy, the tenants just called.  We had a huge windstorm last night and part of the fence at the rental blew over.

Work vibes for DR ELMORE.

Yes a bit of snow here today, not much so far.  But VERY COLD temperatures are predicted.....with a low of 11 degrees this evening and wind chills much colder.

I personally can't stand it, but I know several people who like it.  I believe it features my favorite named Benedict Cumberbatch or whatever the hell his name is.

Yes, but to have a Carmines autograph score is so frigging weird.  All I can think is that maybe one of my Uncles was an angel for the show and the score was in the piles of crap (technical term) I brought back from NYC after Pat died.

I also have scores for Hot Spot (!), Bajour, What Makes Sammy Run? and A Doll's Life (featuring our very own PennyO).  The mind boggles.

I'm up.  I didn't get to sleep until almost three thanks to non-stop and really loud sirens all over the San Fernando Valley - it went on for almost two hours - anything in the news about whatever it was?

The sun is shining and I'm a little groggy.  In a little while I'll start reading what I wrote yesterday and finesse things - I realized I left out some stuff that may or may not belong - again, it may be better to tell certain things a little later.

However, what could be exciting is taking my parents to downtown Richmond in a little while. I guess they've lived in suburban Richmond - Glen Allen, to be exact - for four or five years now - and they hardly ever venture into the City proper. Well, since they'll be coming to see My Fair Lady later this week, and since they'll be bring six other people with them, well... They should know how to get downtown, where the theatre is and where to park. They want to do a trial run. Since the theatre is close to The Jefferson Hotel, I want to pop in there too. I'm hoping that they haven't started dismantling their Christmas decor since I know my Mom would love the photo op. ;)

I believe they were searching for Stefan Findle.

Alas, the sirens were probably the result of the arsonist(s) on the loose. :-\

Thanks DR JOSE and DR JMK - I will let you know what I think, you KNOW I will.

And yes I agree that Cumberbatch is a right proper last name.

Perhaps DR DOUG R has had the opportunity to view said program as well.
