Topic of the Day:

"The Andromeda Strain" and "Deep Impact" are the two that I can think of right now.

Thanks to all for the vibes for my dad.  So far so good.

I hope DR CILLA LIZ gets a photo of her new art so we can see it, too!

DR JOSE - there was no information posted about the origin of the G4 - but it has a dual processor and a 160 GB hard drive and a few other upgrades....plus built in wifi and wireless mouse & keyboard.   I will try it at home, but I was looking for an inexpensive one to take to the theatre this summer for use in the office or at the Stage Manager's table/backstage.

If it turns out to be REALLY good, I may keep it, but I probably won't....LOL.   The great computer that we have at the theatre now is upstairs locked in the business office, so it's not really accessible if people need to do a quick check on something - and I hate having the backstage littered with laptops.  Of course now people can use their phones and tablets to do the same thing....so we shall see.

Of course today is a work day.

Yesterday we reconfigured ALL of our shelves and moved all of the books around.  The store looks very nice......but I am sore....

Good morning, all! I want to stay in bed today. I am determined to get over this thing as quickly as possible, and I'm hoping I've caught it before it invades my entire system. I turned off the lights around 9:30pm last night, and I slept well.

I have little else to report. I'm going back to bed.

Hmmmmmmmm.....where DID you parents go after the show DR JOSE?

Those covers were interesting......Darren Criss and Beau Bridges both had their names on one line in the first one.....but Joe Jonas' and Beau Bridges' were both on TWO lines - which is why there wasn't room for the whole title.....  and SUCCEED has been moved to the second line.....interesting.

My broadband connection went down for two hours today. Every few months it fails for anything from an hour to (on one occasion) 3 days. I've found the best thing is simply to wait until it comes back. If I get onto the ISP they always say it's not a problem their end and get me to make various pointless checks and changes which make no effect whatsoever.

I hate it when that happens. I want to blame the computer, not the connection.

Allergens are thick in the air this morning. And I'm doing two or three things outdoors today. Ugh.

Yes, Jennifer, it was the regular customer service.  They told me it was too late to stop it, because it had already been packaged.  That sounded like BS to me, because it was during the weekend.  They told me that I could refuse the package, but it is more trouble than it is worth.  So, I will give the book to someone as a gift.

I've never sent back anything to amazon but you definitely can.  With all your other problems this is minor. But i would email kindle support. They have been very helpful to me. And i bet they would fix this situation.

Sorry about your doc dumping you. But hopefully this new doctor will be amazing!

DR jose thanks for posting the pic from How To Succeed. Don't care for Nick Jonas. :)

But i am in love with that pic of Darren Criss. Love that playbill.

This might sound dumb, but if you download it what do you do with it. Just look at it?
I love him. Was very happy that he moved up on Glee.

That is funny DR Jose that your parents disappeared. Were you supposed to get a ride with them?
Maybe they took the long way home?  Stopped off for something?

Saturday morning greetings!  Today my exercise routine will consist of many trips up and down the basement steps as I undeck the halls.  First up, the front porch garlands!

Thanks, everyone, for the good health wishes. I'm a wuss: I do not cope well with pains or irritations like constant sneezing, sore throats, or runny noses. I'd have been a terrible spy: all they would have to do is produce instruments of torture and I'd spill the beans ASAP.

DR Elmore, I'm no Nurse Jane, but I think you should stay in all weekend and eat soup, drink tea, and rest.

As for my parents "disappearance" last night after the show, well... The show was done, and so they went home. -Well, at least back to their car. They were there with some friends of theirs, and I'm guessing they talked for a bit before saying goodbye for the evening. I also gave my father the "long way" directions to and from the theatre since he never ventures downtown. You can get there right off of 95, but since they've been doing construction in that area - and since it's very easy to drive past the exit if you don't know it's coming up - well... And he tends to drive the speed limit, if ya' get my drift. ;)

*However, he did do a dry run yesterday during the day. Of course, I did end up getting a call from them: "We're around 5th Street and Broad, where is the theatre?" -They were already seven blocks past it. ;)

Oh... I thought you wanted a copy of the artwork to print out.

Some people do print them out. Some people make it the background on their computer or smartphone. Etc., etc., etc.

Or you could be like the street vendors in NYC that download all the artwork from the various shows, make an 88-cent color copy of it, place it in a $1.50 frame and then sell it on the street for $10.
