I've been in the kitchen getting everything ready to assemble in the crockpot before we leave for Lima in the morning. If all goes well we'll have split pea soup made with the bone from our Christmas ham, which has been frozen for a couple of weeks.

Oh I always made one every year using the ham bone from my Mom's Chroistams Eve ham - thsi year she diecided to chaneg the menue and there was no ham -- so no soup

Just back from lunch with friends. They made duck confit and sauteed cremini mushrooms over greens with a luscious bottle of pinot noir. Now, I must nap before the symphony tonight.
