We are supposedly on "snow watch" here.  It is cold enough, but we don't, yet, have a snow sky.

I have nothing against Tebow, but former Wolverine Tom Brady is my favorite pro player.

Is anyone going to watch the Golden Globes tomorrow night?

Definitely.  I want to see Ricky Gervais' opening monologue.

G'night!

I am off to bed, too! I'm tired from too little sleep last night and i'm sure it's contributing to my current unhappiness. Perhaps tomorrow will look better.

I am currently heating my dip for my chips, and pretending it is the Super Bowl (vixmom's idea).

I think that after church tomorrow  I will make some onion soup dip and eat chips and  watch movies  - it is too cold to go out

I find it interesting to see dear readers come to HHW, and then leave without ever posting.

I have some days when I tried posting I got thrown out of the site

We will be watching the 1979 Christmas special from To the Manor Born as soon as Anthony finishes washing the dinner dishes.

We are enjoying it a great deal (said in a posh English accent).

Is this the one when she and Marjorie make a nativity set ?

Yes, although they call it a "crib" They end up using Richard's but because Ned was involved in the electrics all sorts of things go wrong.

Good Evening!

Well... Due to a change in the schedule, my afternoon session basically turned into one lone six and a half hour session for me. It all went very well, but, needless to say, I'm a bit tired right now. My eyes are tired, my brain is tired.

Thankfully, I don't start until Noon tomorrow. It will be nice to sleep in a little bit.

Good old Century Link left us without an internet connect or phone service all day.  I am pleasantly surprised they are back already.

It's about time for me to start working on the spare room upstairs.  I think tomorrow I'll start working on the wallpaper removal.  Yuck.  Mom and Dad may need to stay here when we go to Joplin, so I need to have a place for them to stay. That means sort through the boxes in the office and get that stuff put somewhere so that the futon can be pulled out.

It's not really that bad, just some boxes that I moved up there last summer before the party.

The other room needs lots more work. I'd really like to get the wall paper off and the floor cleaned well.  I believe the painting can wait until spring.  I was going to get a day bed or a new sofa sleeper for the room, but they are really more than I want to spend right now, so I think I can take the big futon in the basement apart and take it upstairs and put it back together.  I think I can do that myself, but if it isn't possible, I'll ask for help.

Great concert. Start of the Beethoven festival. They did symphonies 1 and 3, very energetic. In the next six weeks, they will do all of the symphonies, while five or six of the chamber groups in town do various other Beethoven pieces.

The basement futon is really a good one and it doesn't get used down there unless we have a tornado warning, lol.   I'll take my old recliner down the basment....I think this will work and will only cost me the money for paint.
