I also see that Zalman King died.

He was a former actor who became a director and producer.

BK worked with him in the TV series The Young Lawyers.

I have gone ahead and ordered CLEOPATRA from Amazon.UK, the first time ever I've ordered from them.  I know, I know, will the excitement never end?

Congratulations on expanding your horizons JMK! And in the spirit of two-way country exchange, I've just ordered SPELLBOUND from Amazon.com. But I can't claim that it's the first time I've ordered from them  :)

I have a question for anyone who teaches people who are not singers how to sing a new song. Anyone?

A number of ways--many people in the various choirs I lead do not read music and aren't especially skilled.  Pounding out their parts repeatedly on a piano helps.  I also provide MIDI files of parts for my choir members.

I'm up, have had my telephonic conversation, and must now be on my way to the storage facility.

I just use oreo cookies and take off the white parts. And then just put it in the food processor. Just takes a few minutes.

If the boxed crumbs are too fine, IMHO, like the boxed graham cracker crumbs I'm sure the way you make them is better.

DR Jane, re: the kindle comment from yesterday.  There are some ebooks not available to Canada. But some people have found a very easy fix. If you change your address to US (very easy to do) then you can buy any book you want.

Have you done this?

I thought the iPad worked like the Kindle.  Apparently it doesn't & Keith couldn't get WINSTON'S WAR for free.

Today, in my Disc 4 researches, I came across this sketch of the comedy The MerryWives OfGotham. It's actresses Laura Hope Crews and Grace George as two sisters who were separated in Ireland 43 years earlier and are friends in 1873 Manhattan. Crews played the Irish washerwoman who works for the wealthy Park Avenue matron, played by George. Only the audience knows they are sisters; they never discover the fact. Victor Herbert wrote a  glorious song "Heart O'Mine,"  for the production. It's possibly his last song and moves me to tears every time I hear it

Back from various and sundried errands and whatnot, including picking up a couple of packages, getting music and photos from storage, and all that jazz.

I'll be very interested to see what Grant likes for a cover, because no one photo is screaming "cover" to me.  In fact, none of them are.  But I've found some great photos for inside the book.

Ditto.  It is sad they never knew they were sisters.

Good Afternoon!

It got very foggy in Memphis over the past few hours. Just in case you wanted to know of such things.

DR Jane - There are some "Kindle Only" exclusives which will not "work" with the Kindle app for the iPad/iPhone. You have to own an actual Kindle.

Interesting.  I tried to transfer this photo from downloads & it wouldn't take.  I closed HHW, put the photo into my web file, reopened HHW & clicked once on the photo.  Both forms showed up.
