I took a break and ran out and about the neighborhood.  I cecked out new titles at Barnes & Nobles, bought sme dinner at Artie's, bought the eBay sketch from "The Merry Wives of Gotham," and I am in for the evening.

What is it with Bravo and "The Patriot?" They show that film as regilarly as folk have bowel movements. It isn't that i don't like Mel Gibson, but I do hate that anti-semitic bigot and pig.

The snow has covered my satellite dish so I can't get any TV pictures now.

Whenever that's happened before I've managed to shift the snow by throwing snow balls at it.

Good evening!  We're expecting some snow--nothing much expected to accumulate, though.

LOL.  We can reach ours with a broom but it is a real pain.  We got a new dish that works better when it snows.

Moorea was our favorite place on the cruise, and fortunately the days were clear & beautiful.  On the first day we took a jeep tour of the island.

We stopped for a lovely view of our ship.

Does anyone here make cold pasta salads?  I want to make one tonight for tomorrow. But just wondering what to use as the dressing. Would you use mayo or not (i'm thinking not).

For a cold pasta salad I would use an Italian dressing.

Back from various and sundried errands and whatnot, including picking up a couple of packages, getting music and photos from storage, and all that jazz.

Wow, that's weird.  I was  just listening to "All That Jazz."

DR Jane, re: the kindle comment from yesterday.  There are some ebooks not available to Canada. But some people have found a very easy fix. If you change your address to US (very easy to do) then you can buy any book you want.

Have you done this?

I thought the iPad worked like the Kindle.  Apparently it doesn't & Keith couldn't get WINSTON'S WAR for free.

Yes it's very easy to do.

DR Jennifer I'm glad you can now get books from the US.

I've never made pasta salad.

Like a bottled dressing?

I don't really like the flavor of italian bottled dressing. And i was not going to use mayo. But if DR Jose says to use mayo. I'll have to see what the dressing looks/tastes like.

I don't think it's that many. The weird thing is that when i'm not signed in amazon always assumes i'm from canada. So sometimes i don't realize why i can't see a certain book.

Great photos, Jane. Looks like that pineapple vine kinda tore up your sleeves a bit.

Jennifer, when I make a pasta salad, I finely chop onion, celery, green pepper if I have it, carrots, and some broccoli flowers cut really small. I often mix some mayo and some bottled dressing and toss it all together. I like to use the rotini shaped -- like a corkscrew -- because it holds the dressing better.

I'm on the LL Bean website looking at flannel sheets.  I think I'm meant to buy these.

I used to love flannel sheets because I'm always cold.  Now they just seem like a magnet for Sherlock's fur & it is Keith who wants them.  I don't know why since he always seems warm.
